E-Mini Exclusion Time for Charging

Exclusion Time for Charging
I am charging with level 1 120VAC 10amp charging. It could take 30 hours to charge from empty. 2024 Mini Cooper SE.
I want my Mini to charge IMMEDIATELY every time it is plugged in, EXCEPT during the extremely high rates between 4pm and 9pm.
I never know when I will drive so a finish time is not possible. I never want "preconditioning" or anything of the sort.
I had a Prius Prime and I simple connected the charger to a smart outlet that would turn off during 4pm and 9pm. When power resumes, the car continued charging. I could also set a start time of 9pm in the car, because charging would be completed in 5 hours, not 30.
But oh no, not with the Mini. The power will stop at 4pm, but at 9pm when the power comes back on, the charger is goes into Error ! mode and will not resume until you remove the plug from the car, unplug the brick from the outlet and plug it all back in when the brick goes through an incredibly long testing process. This is incredibly stupid, for most states are adopting the Time of Use plans.
Does anyone have a work around for this? Or perhaps I am missing something in the menus.

You're more likely to get an answer at the forum below. There are a lot more SE owners on there.

I did discover the charging answer myself: Buy a new charger brick. It works fine going off and on connected to a smart outlet, and will also work on 220 if I upgrade, plus you can select the output current amperage. And it remembers the selection when the power goes out. And was less than $150, keeping the Mini brick safely in the box. Time will tell if it lasts. It weighs soooo much less than the Mini brick. And should I drop the plug in connector side and break it, or run it over, or crimp the cord from the garage door opener, I won't be out $1000 at lease end. All good!
