Cigarette Power Socket Pulled Out

Went to unplug a cigarette lighter power adapter yesterday, and the entire plug assembly came out with it. Luckily, I didn't pull too hard and yank all the wires apart. The plug assembly goes right back into the console, but I didn't see/feel anything that "snaps" it into place. Does anyone know if the plug was originally just held in place by adhesive, or did I break off a plastic tab somehow?

On the orange opaque plastic around the body of the lighter is 2 little tabs. They dont stick out much at all so it can be easy for it to accidentally pop out. This happens whenever I use my power socket in the left side in my boot of the mini. I just pop mine back in and forget about it

+1 on that. No issues with the front one, but I rarely use it.
