I'm a bit young for beer but i'd enjoy meeting up and checking out your car. I want to hear your exhaust!

What meet are you talking about? Crystal Cove?

I've driven a car with a confirmed 206 whp, and my car is stronger, so there's no way I have 206 whp .

I designed this new valve cover plate for Jan and had it custom made yesterday just in time for the Dragon...

If Jan approves, maybe he'll have proper silk screened plates made up...this one is just vinyl over factory plate...

Yes i've read your posts and was wondering if you would mention your dyno session . Apparently you didnt get permission for that . Play it the way you want. The OC mini world is very small and nothing stays under the carpet for long .

You mean the dyno we did the day of the install with the MTH software, AF ratio of 9.1, and my cam timing retarded 7 degrees? . No I guess I didn't mention it because there was nothing to compare? My car wasn't running properly, we discovered that the timing chain was off a tooth from the factory, and I haven't had time to get a representative dyno yet (Since I live 70 miles from the dyno).

We've since manually reset the cam timing, and swapped out the crappy MTH tune for the JCW software.

Like I said, when I get *representative* dyno numbers, i'll post them. I'm not going to post a dyno sheet every time I go to the dyno. I have no obligation to inform everyone on the board of my progress in modifying my car, nor do I have time to deal with drama. If you want to contribute to the thread, or you're genuinly interested, stick around, if you're going to be an idiot and try to stir up drama, leave.

Hey Spider, what difference does that make? This is NAM so it's all about the stickers.

I am becoming a fan of the 56 as it has the best TQ curve (stock) by far.....

I support the MC2 magazine doing a head shootout..... same dyno same day etc...... enough volunteers turning wrenches and this could happen..... it could be done on a few cars with deltas.... this thread is loosing credibility due to the subjective (yes I said subjective ) BS. each head producer puts up a head an a minimal amount of cash to help with the costs.... be there to make sure their product is represented correctly... pick a neutral site..... invite in some inpartial observers.... document and maybe video the event.... sell it to "speed" witha hip sound track.... maybe hire a Ryan Secrest (sp?) look a like to MC..... OK maybe not.... but clearly NAM is void of claims that everyone accepts.... instead of lauding other achievments (debatable) we act as monkees slinging feces......

who is going to be at the Dragon with this head who will give me a ride?

I'm done posting info to this thread... new info related to the RMW head and other projects from Jan will be shared with the people I know actually care. I'm tired of dealing with all the drama in here. I don't think i've ever been on a forum with a more critical, immature group of enthusiasts. This forum is to share info, I met Jan the day I was getting my head installed, I had talked to him on the phone once before. I have nothing to do with his company, nor do I have any financial interest in him selling heads. Why anyone would accuse myself, longboard, or anyone else of having some secret pact with him I have no idea...

My interest was purely excitement, and has since turned to frustration. From the get go we've had vendors in this thread knocking the head, the dyno, everything. The fact that NAM allows vendors to stir up this much drama is completely inexcusable. It's the SAME vendor's every time. I don't see Thumper, M7, or Alta coming in here and telling us how horribly we spent our money.

If it isn't the owners club badge, it's the dyno type, the dyno results, or someone snooping around the dyno looking at dyno sheets (I've probably run my car up there 25 times with dozens of different changes to test various mods, I’m not going to post every single dyno sheet on NAM, the tests were for my own knowledge) to stir up more drama. I'm 20 years old and I feel like I’m back in High School here. The funniest part is i'm probably the youngest contributor to this thread, yet it's all the adults quarreling like school girls.

Sorry to people who were genuinely interested. Hopefully someone else has more patience than I do.

I have 3 kids older than you...... If I were your dad, I would be proud... well said

my interest in the dynos is not disbelief at this point it is to establish that regardless of dyno, the info is valid...... I get PMs from all sorts of people with varying opinions..... who is right.... an independent dyno varifying results would give or take credibility from contributors so that future claims could be better considerd by the Mini community ... I for one am tired of the bickering .....

At this point I am interested in a head or reworking mine...... I really would like to know where my $ is best spent.... I really have spent close to $1000 on a mod that was supposed to give results that did absolutely nothing. I don't want to repeat that.....

I am off to ride my bike (pedal) I hope you all have a nice day... I'll check back tonight
