Drivetrain 231.9WHP with new big valve head. Stock cam and ECU.
There is quite a difference in the two dyno graphs that are referenced. The opening graph in this thread was on a dyno that measures power indirectly and where the benefit of lighter wheels and tires come into play. And that number can be quite large depending on the weight savings. A Dynopack measures power directly without the annoyance of wheels and tires.
The real story here is torque and the two graphs show a large discrepancy. Factor in the lighter wheels and tires and the divergence only grows.
Peak torque; 184 verses 197. And the torque curve is even more revealing.

No, it does not as they are not designed to go all that much past the stock power limit.

You being a dyno "master" should know better posting numbers with 10% correction factors. It's embarrassing that you and John come onto my thread which is about just a head/15%pulley, cheap exhaust and CAI and try to compare it to a fully tuned car. I do not work for Jan.
Face the facts, your head, stahl system and all the other products you sell don't live up to the "NO HYPE" that you sell them under. Why have you never shown a dyno with your system that HASN'T been tuned? Are you scared it won't be in the same league? I have seen the flow numbers from all of the heads and yours or anyone else's don't compare. Please start your own thread or do you need to come to a thread with 23,000 views to get seen? If you really care to "learn" why don't you call Jan but it seems your ego won't allow it. Instead you attack him here where he cannot reply.

I'm having a difficult time understanding why DMH is here in this thread...what are they trying to accomplish? Did this thread somewhere along the way, accused their product of being lesser than this RMW head? If not, why are they here relentlessly attempting to diminish and question Longboard's dyno postings? Why doesn't DMH just start another thread to boast their accomplishments instead of constantly steering this thread off course?

This is starting to make Andy look good by comparison...Let's get with the program Mods...

More fun.
Here is some more. All 304 stainless and true equal length primaries and a real collector.

Sid,
I am running a CARB approved cat.
It is still in the car as we are taking the header back out now for mass production. Each will be CNC bent.
Oh crap Longboard, why did you have to post that header picture! I just made a mess in my pants. SOOOO amazingly beautiful....oh darn, now I just shorted out my keyboard from drool.
Sid: That's a good question you raise; why is dmh in this thread? I'm pretty sure this thread is about the Jesus head, nothing to do with dmh's "products".

I better go find a bucket of water...

Thank you Spider. I really mean that.
The header is real nice and works as good as it looks. I cant wait to see the final production version.

All of ya'll (dang the Taxas is showing) that are using the Jesus Head Badge that Tul's originaly created for us take note. We have offended some people on NAM, go figure, and we are requested to rremove it. Tuls was nice enough to redesign it and it can be found below in my sig. Please change it at your convienience.
NAM Management thanks you.

. Why stuff like this bothers people i'll never know, just ignore it and move on.
. When are you heading to Autowave next?

Longboard dyno calculates the whp from the whp torque it sees
LDG dyno calculates the bhp/flywheel horsepower from the torque it sees
196.826 x 4500 / 5252 = 168.64
185 x 4160 / 5252 = 146.53
Sounds like we need a "head" shoot out! Jesus vs Wegner....now we just need someone to buy both, slap them on the same car and do the dyno same day, no tune, then tuned. No point arguing over dyno this or dyno that. A guy wanted to post that he was having good results with something new & it seems like the folks designing and building these heads aren't trying to tell everyone else what you're doing wrong. If you have something that you believe in, talk is cheap and lip service that is falling on deaf ears, so start putting up some good results. Have your customer's sale your product. Word of mouth is still the most powerful means of marketing to the diehard enthusist.
I am sure in both instances you get what you pay for & your going to get a great head either way you shake it.
I currently have 3 stock heads and two engines.....who wants to play?

[quote=luckydoggarage;1493898]Check this out. I'll finish it tomorrow.
I can see what you mean by fuel pump issues, it goes really lean from about 6750 onwards and thats with it standing still and no g forces being applied.
So why are the wheel dia / weight of vehicle / drive ratio factors on a Dynapack, are these factors you have to type in so it can calculate the torque

1-remove stock head
2-install test head #1
3-dyno
4-tune it
5-dyno again
6-remove test head #1 on hot motor
7-install test head #2
8-dyno again
9-tune it
10-dyno again
All in one day?
BS...Only I can manage such a task...
Seriously, it took Chad 7 hours just to replace my head and that was plenty fast...

Wheel diameter isn't an issue on the Dynapack. On that particular dyno you take the wheels off the car and bolt on hub adapters which fit directly into the dyno. It measures the torque directly unlike inertial dynos.
Will this come in different diameter primaries?
Ya know...the new badge reminds me of the Monolith from 2001.
I thought the original JHOC badge and the idea that you can see the face of Christ through one of the ports were hilarious, and we Brits never credit you guys with a sense of humour
.
Shame somebody had to take offence but it's a sign of the times unfortunately.
I think the JHOC badge should be tweaked again though; use the current design and place a halo around the top of the Jesus Head
Or maybe suspend it from a crucifix (how could anyone find that offensive)

EDIT: oops how did I miss the halo already on there
