Don't be a hater just because he produced a head that works and his sales are cutting into yours.

Do you care to respond to my question about tuning?

If you and your "friends" have an ax to grind with someone you should contact the person directly.

Woot!!!
...very nice torque and throttle response improvement that even my mushy butt can feel...Dr. Chad at DT pulled off another successfull installation without a hitch and I left a short time ago...unfortunatly in my haste, I forgot to tighten my plumbings and was only able to see 12psi...
:impatient I need to head back to DT with my SO to pick up my other ride and we'll try another report later...

Only Chris took my offer
Slowly tracing down the leaks and I'm back up to 14.8psi (digital gauge) and HOLLY XCTREMENTS!!! She's really hauln @SS now...

Just wait till I find the remaining 2psi...
And remember, I'm on stock ECU...can't wait to meet up with Jan at the DRagon...he heee heeee...

You'll love it
. Maybe we can all head to the dyno together. I think Jan is waiting to get a date from Longboard so I can tag along.

Matt
He's also completely trumped every "Rumor" that has surfaced on these forums reguarding big valves killing low end, not being able to break 200 whp without a new blower, not being able to break 180 torque on the stock software, etc.
He couldn't have picked a more appropriate name for his company, the stuff he's coming out with truely is revolutionary
Why has there been so much Drama on NAM lately!

Yea, I lost some boost (1-2 PSI i'd say). I don't have a guage, but the whine is much more subtle after the head install.

I really wish I could make the Dragon so we could all go have a beer together. I leave for Holland on business on the 6th. While I am gone the car will get a tune for the new header/exhaust and W/M injection. And yes, this is a full emulated dyno tune. I will be like a kid waiting for Xmas the week I'm gone.

The head itself is around $1800 I believe, the 2000 includes a new gasket, and a full ARP Headstud kit. All in all I spent about 2650 for the head, install, oil change, new coolant, and an engine damper install (30-40 bucks).
And yes, it's a core exchange.
The head itself has an upgraded valvetrain rated to about 10k RPM's. Jan can quote you the exact specs I don't know all the details.

*****-en Sid. So you should be around 17psi. What pulley are you running?

.
Jan (Why everyone's so afraid of the wrath of NAM I don't know) is most definitely a tuner, and has so far produced better numbers than ANYONE who has ever designed a head for the MCS. Not once, not twice, but at least 5-6 times.

I'm running 15+2...what psi should I really be looking for? My SC has just about lost all it's coating too so that combined with Matt's assertion that there would be some psi lost, am I in generally pretty good shape with 14.8psi (digital gauge +-0.1psi)?
Actually the number is now 250+whp. We've been over 230whp for the last year but it's taken a while to solve the fueling problems that we experience when we run these cars for extended periods on track. One dyno pull doesn't expose this like a weekend at VIR or the Glen. At my home track, Summit Point, after about four or five hard laps the afr's are lean and we're running out of fuel. This is no longer a problem for us as my new fuel system is finally ready for use. I'm doing one right now that I'll have at the dragon. I've got to tune this thing tomorrow and then I'll post the results and some pictures of the components and install.
In my opinion, the fog is tightly centered around Warren, NJ, where dmh is located.
Congrats to the Jesus Head for elevating the MINI aftermarket scene.

We've seen the pretty picture and I'm still confused as well. Shouldn't lose significant boost because of a cracked inlet tube.
