Drivetrain 231.9WHP with new big valve head. Stock cam and ECU.
OBD..
It can only report data for which there is a sensor on the car, and oil temp aint one of them. Also, standard can't access all Mini sensors, like the pre-SC MAP sensor. For that, you need a tool with brand specific extensions.

ooooooooooooo...Hubba hubba...looks like the FedEx plane had some help from a stiff tailwind and the Jesus Head arrived a day early...

I wish I could show you pictures but I don't have permission yet...

The stock miltek resonator had a rattle in it. I picked the Vibrant because it is a strait threw design. I thought it might help free up a little more while making the Miltek loader. I always felt the Miltek was to tame.
The sound with the new res was perfect.
Any one need a used OBX / Miltek combo?
Longboard

Like Chad doesn't have enough to do already...
Yeah...it's just a Designer table I picked up a few years ago...the head's not bad either...
Just kiddn...
Hey...STOP THAT! You just put a smudge on your monitor...

If you think it looks good, wait until you hear the noise it makes when you fit it to the car. If you're familiar at all with the noise a Turbine Engine makes, that's pretty much what the engine sounds like
. That is if you're not Longboard with your ear bleeding exhaust

My exhaust is already loud...but I wouldn't mind a Jet tossed in there...
Let's see if my wife would mind a 35lb block of cold aluminum between us for the next few nights...
Just kiddn sweety...
Come on already...you're gonna give me insomnia for the next four nights waiting for the install...

I'm surpirsed the Mini was not stripped down and waiting for the FedEx guy to deliver so the new head could go from box to block.
You'd think these guys at MichiganMini club would give up the chase but they persists with the mods sooooooooooo...The Arms Race continues...

No... we were more concerned with IAT and ECT.
When I get it back on the dyno i'll see if Oil Temp is something that we can read off the OBD2 port with the scanner we have. Otherwise, at some point in the near future i'll be getting full gauge setup (Boost, AF, and Oil Temp) so i'll be able to get it off there and update everyone. The cost of an aftermarket oil cooler is ridiculously cheap.

Mini Madness sells one on their site, I can't imagine it costs more than 100-120 dollars to install, there shouldn't be much routing involved.

Oil temperature is one of the many operational parameters that I monitor with my Defi gauge set-up. Using Mobil-1 synthetic oil (5w-30w), I usually run oil temperatures in the 190-210 deg. F range. This is with fairly hard city and/or highway driving in Southern California. IMO, one really does not need an aftermarket oil cooler with these very high flow heads and exhausts. Also, it is my understanding that the synthetic oils do a better job when they a a bit on the warm side. Just my $0.05----
