They don't sell it anymore. Apparently production costs were too high for volume sold. There were also some issues with the fit of some of the parts. The thing sounds amazing once you get it working though.

I believe it is a good design, but with the installation involved, I'd suggest you get another intake... The Alta intake has priven to be great, and from a dyno test I have seen, it was a bit better too.

It is very easy to install... The AGS is a PITA to install.

You'll

From my experience as a spectator, hearing a MINI with the AGS installed drive by at full throttle is something heavenly. It was a high-pitched jet-engine whine, that was more pronounced than any other intake I've yet heard. I hear that the AGS isn't that noticeable inside the car though.

The ALTA, which I have, has a similar high-pitched whine, but isn't quite as loud from outside the car. Inside, the ALTA is very loud and pronounced. That is due to the rear of the ALTA box being open, and sound travelling out the cowl on the driver's side.

The installation is just as DarkMiniCooperS stated... the AGS is really tough and involved, but the ALTA installs quite easily.

Love it... wouldn't trade it but you do have to understand as stated above that the install is involved.

They are correct about not being available that I know but you may want to call Peter at m7 and see if he has one laying around.

do some thread searches and you will find quite a number of posts about it by myself as well as MISFTOY

It is a great Item but M7 do not produce by them anymore. I don't know if Custom Mini Shop still has them, but probably you should talk to SRTech. The sound is AMAZING, "IMO", and it's not that loud on the inside of the car, but on the out side is another beast. you can hear the air getting sucked from that filter so clearly and then that SC whine . the installation is a bit tricky but straight forward and requires some time, but you should know that I haven't done the installation personally rather it was my shop here. JBravoMC here did it on his own recently and liked it. do a little search on that and you'll find all related threads or check out this https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=91793 I also posted sound clips of my AGSv3 and you can find them if you look for it here on NAM or on my profile in Mini2.

good luck on your quest.

The M7 AGS has just haunted me, as I really liked the sound of it after seeing the videos, but the vanity of that, didn't tip me over the top to undertake the replacement of the ALTA CAI, I have. Unless the performance gain was significant, I wouldn't even consider it.

The ALTA CAI gives you pretty good bang for the buck.

All I gotta say is that Peter better maintain a steady supply of filters because I'm not taking my AGS off anyday soon...

I don't think that you'll replace it any time soon, MSFITOY... just clean and go ... Extra space is one more thing the AGS gives, besides power and awesome sound, that the others don't... you know for your N2O, OCC or whatever .

OMG! That video! I so want one of those, but I know I'd be poor from speeding tickets, blowing through gas, and well... not having a job anymore because I would be driving all day long and skipping work.

I recently got a AGS V.3 from Kendal and I LOVE IT i removed the under hood sound deadening stuff and it has made everything louder under the hood. i can hear the AGS inside and out and people know i am coming down the road after they ask WHAT THE HELL IS THAT.

i see alot of people taking the insulation off the underside of the hood . keep a watch out for rust . the condensation on the underside at night is going to attack your paint . you may want to rust proof it .
