Ok, Now I'm sure I need a new belt tensioner.
I recently had the "dentist's drill" squeeling from my tensioner. I'd read here that a new belt sometimes takes care of the problem.
I bought a new gatorback belt, the squeeling went away for about 500 miles. Now I've heard it again a time or 2. The squeel is intermittent, when it's there, it varies with engine RPM, usually when under a slight to moderate accelleration load.
I've seen the GT Tuning repacement tensioner. It looks good (better than oem).... does anybody sell them in the US (a US distributor?).
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Donald

GT Tuning don't sell a new tensioner, the picture on the website shows their tensioner stop bar on an OEM tensioner. The bar stops the tensioner from hitting the pulley if the belt snaps. A lot of people get confused by this picture...
I just received the DT "cable gizmo" which I bought for $20. After reading this thread I searched the TSW website to compare and for the life of me I couldn't find it. Can anyone point (link) me the right way?
