Dropped my car off today to have the rest of the mods done. Will definitely be hard to concentrate for the remainder of the workday. Will probably be finished tomorrow, if everything installs and tests well. If you recall, all this was done on trade for graphics services. I love the barter system. That will bring the mod list to the following:

Mini Mania Springs
Mini Mania Adjustable Rear Swaybar
NRP Exhaust (I know, I know...)
Mini Mania Cold Air Intake
Mini Mania Aluminum Strut Brace.

Next mod is to lose 20 lbs. (from the driver).

Will post some impressions ASAP. JR

Finally saw the pile of parts with my own two eyes. So far, there's been a lot of talking and not much seeing. Guess that was a little unclear, huh?

The NRP twin sequential muffler exhaust is one of many exhaust upgrades for the MCS.

The NRP exhaust didn't fair so well in the HP department. I'm just hoping it's not too loud. I was willing to pass up some horsepower to keep the car relatively quiet, but frankly was hoping for more hp than the 5 or so it puts out. Oh well. Still happy to have it. JR

The bend that it makes out of the muffler is really crazy. Maybe this has something to do with the HP loss.

Should have gone with the Borla. You get HP and close to stock noise level.

At Crown MINI. Starting soon, they're actually going to be working with a company called Yesteryear Motorsports who will have an arrangement with MINI Mania to modify cars. The mods YM will be doing will come with a warranty similar to the factory warranty. To my knowledge, the end result is that the products will not void the warranty, as you'll be covered either by the factory or by Yesteryear. I don't think they'll be offering the pulley mod. But then there's always JCW which Crown can perform if you've got the cash. Clear as mud? JR

Jayar,
NRP exhaust: Where did you get that 5 hp number? I am still waiting for numbers from Randy and from NRP as well. It was recommended to me by Colin from TT and I am still waiting. I like sound from the system, though.
Thanks,
SuperC

superC: Can't remember exactly where I got the 5hp number, but I think it was in a thread called "New Exhaust for S" or something like that. Randy weighed in on the thread, but can't remember what he said. I know the general feeling was that it was pricey and didn't make enough power compared to other systems. If you find actual dyno numbers on the system, please post. I'd love to see them. BTW, are you a former VW person like me? I used to deal with Colin at TT myself. Good guys there. JR

Jayar,
I talked to Colin about this exhaust and he helped in the prototyping. When I find numbers, I will definitely post. I got 8% increase in power from testing with a stop watch and a G-tech.
