Just thought I'd share one of the coool photoos we got at dusk during the latest round of brake tests. We again had no fade, and I can't say enough about the Ferodo DS2500 and Motul fluid - the slotted rotors definitely made a difference as well. Anyway, on with the pic:

Thanks for the photo DaveinDenver!

That is my favorite part of watching the 24 hours at Le Mans. Glowing rotors at night and 2 foot long flames out the exaust.

That's exactly what we did. Probably a 3000' decent in altitude over 7 miles or so - justa guess. We sacrificed nothing! Full braking for each switchback. We had no fade even after the rotor was glowing.

What a blast!

Yes, this was using the stock calipers, the Powerslot rotors, Moutl RBF600 fluid, and the Ferodo DS2500 pads. This is the Stage 1 brake kit on the website.

You can get your stock rotors to glow that much - take it out on the track or down a mountain . It'll take serious pads and fluid though.

Randy,
Would you please post a how to on changing brake fluid. I know that this may sound like a silly request, but is there a better way than open the bleeder screws and pumping it through the system. How do you know when all of the old stuff is out of the system?

Thanks
Jack

Awesome pic Randy...nothing better then glowing rotors. Any warpage after all of that? My 2nd mod will be stainless lines along with some good fluid after the rear sway of course...the stock pads and rotors are good enough while I'm stock powerwise.

No warpage yet!

We did another drive through the Rockies today at, um, excessive speed, and the rotors and pads again did a great job.

Give me a call about the SS lines - I have an opinion on those take it for what it's worth ).

Thanks for pointing Jack to the other thread Bruce.

Let me know fi you have any other questions.

Randy

Well, you don't have to call me up to tell you that they are a waste of money.
