Oh crap, my buddies trans blew! Help!!!

OMG my buddy/customer just called me and gave me some bad news. he said he was just driving his 2002 JCW mini cooper s and heard a nasty sound and bam the car won't move anymore! he only has 35,000 miles on it!! it's a six speed. he says it acts like it's in gear but the car won't move. it's not the clutch because he has a centerforce hd unit in the car. so anyone else out there blown their tranny??it's out of warranty so he's screwed. any feedback would be helpful!!!

update we are checking to see if the shifter cable is broaken inside the shifter box. i doubt this is the problem but it would be great if it was. anybody know a vendor who carries a short ratio gearset. mini mania doesn't any more.

JSWMCS,

I can get you in touch with a great MINI dealer, I know a girl at the parts dept and she gave me an amazing price on a 2005 MCS tranny with LSD.

PM me if you want details!
