have your unichip reprogrammed?

Do you want it higher or lower? The unichip already raises it a bit.

I think what Bob is looking into is keeping his Unichip (which does not change the rev limiter) and having just the rev limiter changed on the stock ECU setup...right or wrong?

I bet you could get MTH to provide you with a file ONLY that changes the rev limiter and the rest stock. This way you don't have to retune your unichip.

Talk to DON

I thought bob was talking to don about this. From that and considering this post was today I'd assume it's not possible.

If thats the case - perhaps he could just order there most basic file bUT then he would need to retune the unichip to address any other ecu changes that occured.

Actually what would be funny is BOB ordering MTH via the website they have a small text box where you enter your mods. I would like to see there faces when they print out BOBS order request AND I have this, and this and this and this too and two of these and four of those......................... MTH would proabably cancel the 12 months of upgrade options based on BOB

GIAC takes revs to 7,200 - if thats enough perhaps they will make you a file with just that. Talk to ERIC.

MTH wants the $325 just for that one change... I have talked to Don... The Unichip does not change it..... I was just curious if there is a $100-$150 solution..... $325 is a bit steep for a total experiment.... yeah, I am getting cheap

Might be a longshot, but try contacting the FBT crew. I know they are not involved in the M62 project and only do tuning in person, but they sometimes go on road trips and Tuls has posted in the 62 thread...

BOB,

You went down the dark path long ago THERE is no turning back for you . There has to be something in your house that you can pawn . I hear MacDonalds is hiring . Perhaps a little coorporate fraud .

Okay I got the giggles out of my system.

MTH doesn't surprise me. I wanted a 1-shot tuner file (i.e. no 12 months of upgrades) and they were not interested to price it. While I didn't see my request as a big deal, mgmt had their reasons and I had to accept it and move on. Of course you could just buy their tuner package, list your mods and go back and forth with them until you get a file that works. I'm sure you have a bunch of logged data that you could send them to help build a file for you. THAT is what they sell!

OR

Why don't you talk with ERIC, perhaps he can get you a GIAC rev limiter only file? I think the GIAC file also has something that makes the DSC a little less sensitive.
