AGS goes on tomorrow
The AGS goes on tomorrow and I'm pretty anxious about it..... my car runs pretty good but I'm always looking for that next "kick"........ I have told myself that after this the split flywheel and quaiffe... so this is the last big HP mod...... I'll let you all know..... (no before and after dynos..... no time)

as far as looks..... it "looks like it goes fast" (that is a paraphrase of "it looks like it sounds good" we use in the audio business as a joke) seriously, it looks very well mfg...... I love the "hand made" look of this stuff.....Peter and Randy have a flair for aesthetics which adds to the pride of ownership.....I had Peter sign and date it to match my signed DFIC.....my DFIC is raw with no polished top and for fun I asked Peter to sign it at the Dragon...... so now it is a collectors item
I will post tonight on my "butt dyno" results.....

Bob,
Have you checked with Vince at Harrison Motorsports, the BMW guys in Alpharetta?
They are doing lots of MINIs now, and doing some fairly ambitious projects.
I'm super impressed with his ability, knowledge, and integrity. I'd go so far to say that he's head and shoulders above any other mechanic in Atlanta who touches MINIs.
He's done all the work on Ver. 2.0 and done it beyond my expectations.
And they want to work on MINIs, unlike some of the shops we've dealt with in Atlanta.
I think they've done some M7 mods as well.

I installed mine over the weekend. Here's my initial impression:
The AGS V3 is in and works and sounds great. I can't perceive a power difference (if there is one) between the AGS and the Alta, but I haven't driven it hard yet. Also, driving around when it's ~100° doesn't help to judge power. The supercharger whine is less loud than the Alta in the passenger compartment even with the firewall panel still removed. From the outside of the car at idle there is not much difference except a slight amount of hiss. I'll have to have someone drive my car so I can get a better indication of the sound outside the car while it's moving. For those who don't like the whistle or the loudness of the Alta, this is the perfect solution. I wouldn't recommend the install to the faint-of-heart or those counting on the warranty. Cutting a wiring harness and radiator hose won't endear you to your dealer.

The hose leak is my fault and I am sure the others are also, for some reason the fan is hitting part of the shroud and its grinding so back to the drawing board!

If you idle is fine and your not throwing any codes then your fine.
If it was a vacum leak your idle would be all over the place.
Plus it would end up throwing a code.
I got one of the first few V.1 AGS and installed it myself. So all the leaks that showed up when i put it on i knew how to work it out and knew its normal sounds.
