Drivetrain Motor mounts?

I'd say go with the group buy, as it's mighty cheap!

FWIW, Top Speed Auto seems to have a decent-sized facility. Also, the website http://www.topspeedauto.com/ProductC...?idCategory=62 indicates the dampers are imported from Japan.

Mounting it to the block like that is going to transfer quite a bit more heat into the assembly... JMHO...

I have experienced an annoying vibration at 2300rpm with the damper that was not obvious without it. I presume my engine has some kind of fundamental harmonic at that rpm. It rattles the dash and is quite obvious through the steering wheel, pedals and seat. I will change the urethane bumpers out for the rubber ones and see if that dampens the resonance. At the moment, I'd say the engine damper is a 50/50 proposition: the upside is just about even with the downside. More time will have to pass before I make a final judgment.

My experience suggests one downside to be excitation of harmonic resonances in the engine or engine/body system due to the more rigid connection between the engine and car body. Mine is at approx. 2300 rpm. Its effect was reduced by going to rubber bumpers over urethane bumpers in the damper.

it's just bad (probably automated) translation from japanese to english.
and it sounds like what they were translating in the first place was ad copy, not technical info.
read the "manual" with some cheap electronics for more confusion...

The thread I started will get "un-hidden" as soon as an agreement has been reached.

Ken
SteveS we are not at that stage yet.
I still have to iron out the vendor-status details and determine final pricing.
The bolts that I got were not the right length - one is too long, and one is just a bit too short......
Thus I will have to find a economically viable solution to that problem.
Also looking to get some nice easy to follow instructions put together (pics and all).
Will let everyone know when we get to the payment stage.
Thanks.
