insert any vendor you like; and I'll make the same statement, whether it's a cam, headwork, ignition wires, plama booster, you name it. If I were only applying this to M7 but accepting it from other vendors, yeah, that would be hypocritical. Show me an equivalent scenario with another vendor and I'll jump on it.

What about a vendor that promises something will be available in 2 weeks and 5 months later it is still not available but is avoiding any discussion of said item? Care to jump on that?

Wow, all kinds of descriptors for certain contemporary marketing practices. An internet open-forum that holds a business accountable for product claims of a quantitative nature doesn't seem to be compatible with some of the previously unquestioned marketing hype. Oh well...

Slight OT, but sounds familiar eh? Mea culpa, although I haven't avoided discussion of said item. Put it in the same category as a few other promised and delayed goodies, but not in the huckster column.

So... jlm's public discussion of product development is just that.
Historical reference: jlm manufactures the P&D pulley sold by various tuners/re-sellers.
Endorsing a vendor or mnfr. who's product you like is great. If you have a beef with a vendor, mnfr. or part and want to air it out here then FINE. ...But blatant efforts to sling mud won't change the issue at hand. It's obfuscation and its transparent.
Please, lets allow this thread to die a peaceful death. Numbers aren't coming and there's nothing to be gained by attempting to drag others into the fray.

I'm just wondering when vendors will learn not to post until they have a prototype that is close to production and also stop mentioning assumed releases dates that are months away. People tend to consider them deadlines and get all hot and bothered when that day comes and goes with no product. Some people don't understand delays happen. I am waiting and waiting for a Cobb CAI...been a looong time but I understand delays happen and could simply go the APS route if I wanted to. Understanding the process is what a lot of people don't do.
I have been waiting for a product that is being made "exclusively for BMW" for almost 18 months.. I have even gotten delivery dates. The product has been delayed repeatedly for various reasons..
I don't like it.. but that is just the way it is..
I find these discussions to be quite amusing at times..

This whole area of discussion has totally devolved. How about we all try to go out, get more fresh air into our systems, and clear our collective heads.
If someone has something meaningful and productive to add to the discussion, by all means you're able to discuss the topic. That said, there needs to be something new, because just rehashing the past isn't getting anyone anywhere.
