Alta silicone hose w/Dinan intake

I know this has been asked and answered before - but didn't find a "definitive" answer indicating that someone had made this work (or not). I'm particularly interested in the combo of Alta silicone (MCSa) and Dinan airbox... will this work, and how well?

I have seen it done. Looks a bit odd since the hose is pinched down to fit the OEM diameter. You have a bulge and then a clamp that looks like a necktie too tight on a fat snake.
You can't use the OEM oetiker clamp.

Sounds like an opportunity to build up the outlet of the airbox with a bit of something (tape? shim stock? black silicone shim?) before putting the hose on... I'll give that a shot.

Frodo: Sorry for the inconvenience! Our dealers do offer that service though. Again, thanks for the business and sorry for the inconvenience.

Big Daddy: Thank you for the compliments. That scoop will work with either of our intercooler choices. Let us know if we can help further!

Thanks again!

There should be a spot on the new site for downloads of the install or information in PDF format.

I for one would like to see one for the new top mount intercooler v2.0

Compensating: Thanks for asking. We haven't tried it ourselves, but we have had retail clients that have reported good results. Sorry for not having a better answer. You might also try one of our dealers that do installations. They may have some first hand knowledge.

PS: You can also use the OEM hose trimmed at the TB and airbox as a ring to make up for the difference between the two.

Thanks again!

TWISTER: Thanks for the comment. We agree and in the coming weeks you will see instruction download files on each product. They are compressing and tweaking them right now. They will roll in over the next six weeks.

Thanks again!

Alta/Perrin,
Any chance of a vacuum hose/line kit. Or can we buy different diameter Alta/Perrin hoses directly from you?

Thanks again

Frodo: Thanks for asking! We have the 5/16" in kits of 7' lengths. There is discussion about offering other sizes either in bulk or a pre-measured kit in the Spring. Stay tuned!

Thanks again folks!

Question on the V2.0 pulley

From your web site

Since the outer pulley is held on by 3 high quality screws, and is not responsible for holding the pulley to the supercharger shaft (like the 2 piece taper fit), it can be replaced with a different size very easily. Simply remove the ALTA cap, loosen the screws, and replace! You could increase your power with a smaller size in a matter of minutes!

Can I assume that once the Hub is installed one could change pulley sizes without jacking up the engine?

What are the available sizes?

jibeho: 15%/17% and 19% are the choices. Hope that helps!

Thanks again!

jibeho: Thank you for asking. That could certainly be done. But little fingers would be helpful!

Thanks again!

I like the new shift **** you guys are offering. Question - how does it attach? set screws? does it screw on? Or does it have the factory notch thing? I'm hoping it's one of the latter two options, I loathe set screws but absolutely love the shift ****

agile_moments: Good question. The **** attaches via thread inside it. But it only fits on ALTA shifters. No set screws are required. The logo plate is installed by the client after the **** is tight to prevent it from being off center. All three colors are included.

If we can help further PLEASE let us know! Thanks for choosing ALTA Performance!

agile_moments: Sorry for any confusion. It certainly COULD fit other threaded shifters. My apologies. Let me know what the thread pitch and diameter is on your current shifter and I am happy to check for interface.

Thank you!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Sorry folks: Must be something wrong on my end here. I am posting the answers for the third time now. Hopefully this one will stick!

Minibeast: Glad you got it figured out! Let us know if we can help further!

newbs49: Did I miss your question? Let me know!

Larry/TRackster/VBG: I already replied to Larry's e-mail, but Jeff Perrin in our product development side has been working with ARB for a long time. The ARB rep even stopped by our SEMA booth and spoke to Jeff in person. They are very picky and even something as trivial as a spelling error can bump the paperwork to the bottom of the stack. We continue to work with ARB in California and trust we will have the EO# soon. But as when dealing with any governmental agency, it can take FAR longer than expected. Our apologies if this has caused any problems.

If I can help further PLEASE let me know!

Thanks again!

Hello again folks!

Couple quick notes and specials to tell you about. We have a holiday exhaust special with most of our dealers going and the price is so low you need to call!

Also, we are continually updating our website:

www.altaminiperformance.com

and some of the recent additions are the Garage Sale (located at the top of the home page). This contains one-off's, cosmetically blemished items, returns etc. Items are listed individually and first come first serve. Check back often as items change all the time.

Finally, you will note we have dyno charts listed for many items. Some of the first are the exhaust systems and also intakes. More are coming all the time. Check em out.

Finally, if we can help in anyway please let us know!

Thanks for choosing ALTA and North American Motoring!
