GruppeM

The new MCSC arrives in about a week, and i am putting together my project list!
Try as I might, I am unable to access the GruppeM US Website, (the "enter here" link seems to be disabled)
Has anyone in the US installed the GruppeM CAI system, including the CF Box and K&N Cone Filter?
Any help in locating a dealer, an idea of pricing, and if it is a relatively simple matter to instal this yourself, would be helpful.
Although I understand this to be an expensive mod, i here it is the best on the market...Again, any comments?
Thanks all.

Even though moderators hate me.....dont ask. I will post

i have had the GruppeM for about 1 year now. Yes, it is extremely expensive stuff but is worth the cash IMHO. It does produce more power than anyone will believe (and no, wont post dyno charts) and looks the ****. Is very easy to install, just have to remove 1 wiring harness to fit, but is very easy to change.
It cost me in the region of $1600US which for some reason was more expensive than the GruppeM CAI for my VW R32????
Pre-order though as they take along time to receive.

p.s not many dealers around.
If you're into top quality, go for this and dont listen to the plebs who think its a waste! They're just cheap.

Actually, they're a Japanese company who make overpriced (IMHO) aftermarket parts for a lot of different cars including BMW.

Yes they are Japanese but they make the best CF.

But they dont do the ECU tuning, thats a mistake on the site.

Looks pretty cool... not sure that it could really produce enough more horsepower to be worth the money though... that's way up there in price, you could buy a lot for that.

However; as usual... do what makes you happy

Wow! Such hostility. Enjoy your $1600 intake that makes more power than any of us will believe.

If you cannot substantiate your claim with at the very least a dyno chart, there is no way to draw the conclusion that it makes any power at all. Diluting the BBS with unsubstantiated claims and hearsay such as this degrades the forum and is only a waste of bandwith.

Please either post a dyno chart independant from GruppeM showing this unbelievable power gain or refrain from posting potentially incorrect information.

as zamirz have claimed... what makes you think without backing to your claim that it'd make any more power than say the alta? i really don't see what's the major difference as the whole filter design as a whole retains the stock config... dunno what they are doing different really...

I can claim my scorpion makes more power than a miltek... but that's just my belief... it'd show different results on the dyno...

at the end of the day.. you can pay it fine... the rest of us will be happy with our alta, or our air gain m7 system
