Will it work plugged into a laptop that only has usb-c ports with an adaptor?

anyone going to run their cars down the quarter mile?
I'm interested to see what my jcw clubman can do.
(mini claim 14.3, a review I found said they ran a 14.9)

Yes, I use my macbook pro that only has usb-c. I just use a usb adapter. I've flashed the ECU successfully using windows 10 in bootcamp and also Windows 10 in Parallels.

Group Buy is full!

Hi All, just a quick update: the Group Buy is now full. Units will start to ship out on 12/28/17 via FedEx and we will commence tuning after 1/2/2018.

The current version of the FlashAccess software will expire on 12/31/2017; so we want everyone to use the new version of the software that will be available on (or after) 1/1/2018.

Thank you all for your support!!! We have many more products to come in 2018

Our tuning affiliate shop in the UK (1320MINI) ran their 2015-S Manual down the 1/4 back in April of 2017 and they managed to hit 107MPH at 13.55 seconds on a full tank of 98 RON V-Power.

The mods were: BT Stage 1 Tune, Airtec Intercooler, JCW Exhaust, running 18 PSI. Time slip below...

WooHoo! Got my tracking number today. Just mailed my windows laptop to my buddy in NOVA so he can go through it and sort it out before I attempt to mess with the Mini.

BTW guys, don't forget to get a hold of a 12-point thin-wall spark plug tool. We ordered a big batch, but those won't arrive our shop until mid-January. sorry :(

13.5 is a good time, hopefully my heavy clubman will sneak into the 13's.

Do we need a gap tool for the plugs aswell or am I over thinking things?

With these OEM plugs, we don't typically gap them b/c they are made by NGK specifically for BMW/MINI.

I needed a couple other things, so I ordered mine from ECS. They were so fast and helpful when I returned my Elite that I figured I would squeeze one more order in before the end of the year.

We do it in the ECU mappings. Once you have the tune and the pops and bangs are too loud, then simply let us know and we can turn it down a bit and send you a revise tune. Thus far, we haven't had one customer who has requested this yet; all of them wanted more pops and bangs - and not less

There are , I'm told, tools from Autozone and the like that will work. I was ordering 5 liters of oil and a Mann filter from them anyway so I just added the tool and got the free shipping.

Well, I picked a heck of a time for the usual pre-Christmas busy-ness. Haven't checked in on NAM in a few weeks, finally got some time for myself and came in for a leisurely read of my favorite MINI community... and discovered I missed out on a great group buy!

Hope you lucky ten enjoy the new tunes!

Tuning preparation...

Hi all, we'll be back to work tomorrow (Tuesday), but for the mean time, if you have already received your FlashAccess OBD Module, you can get ready by doing the following:
  1. Go to the Bytetronik Downloads and download FlashAccess ECU Installation Guide v.4
  2. Also download the FlashAccess Software Version 8044 and install this onto your PC.
  3. Read through the instructions and get a clear understanding on the process.
  4. Email us your "Detailed ECU info" per Chapter 2 of the Installation Guide.
  5. We'll send you the tune files tomorrow once we get back into the office.
Thanks for your support and Happy New Year!!!
