Quote: Does this tune work on automatic gearbox?

If so I noticed a limitation on another thread regarding horsepower increase due to the gearbox.
Yep, works great on an auto. Our shop 2015 JCW is auto and it put down 326 ft-lb of torque to the wheels on a Mustang dyno (not to the flywheel); that was almost two years ago

I ordered a set too. 29K on my originals. I think they were still fine, but wanted to go with a colder range with the tune.

From reading all the posts by ByteTronik in this thread I didn't see anything about a limitation with the auto gearbox.

And, I got an Windoze computer from work.

I asked our IT manager if I can borrow one for a few days and he asked me what I was tuning. He has an M3 that is probably the fastest stock car I've been in, tuned of course.

I've read on the auto hatches they tune with less power because of the auto box... not sure if its the same with the clubman since its a different transmission?

Question for Bytetronik. When I add a catless DP and methanol in the future will you be able to update my tune or will I have to purchase a new one?

For the WM: If used as a cooling agent, we can make adjustments for it provided customers supply data logs. This is a new map so $150 fee will apply.

If WM is used as an power adder, we will not able to tune for that remotely (too many variables to consider).

For catless DP, we can turn off the CEL at no extra charge.

Merry Christmas!

Shop reopens on Wednesday and products will ship out then.

If anyone has any questions about the Bytetronik tune just let me know. I had a JB4 on my S for close to a year I believe and then a few months back sold it and flashed the Bytetronik tune on my S. I couldn't be happier with their tune, it feels absolutely amazing and BT has some of the best customer support I have dealt with. If someone drove my car with the BT tune on it they would never know the car didn't come that way from the factory (if they weren't familiar with S power levels like us). It seriously feels like it was done by Mini and not a third party, it's that good and smooth.

Initially I asked for my tune to NOT have the extra pops and bangs, thinking it would be too much. Then last week I decided I wanted to see what the extra pops and bangs were like so asked them if they could provide my tune with that. They provided the tune the same day, these guys seem to not sleep as I think I received it at 11pm that same day. This was also the night before Thanksgiving.

They respond to emails very quickly all times of the day and have been very helpful throughout the pre-purchase and post purchase questions. I think before I bought the tune we had an email thread that was close to 50-60 emails! I ask a lot of questions and wanted to make sure I was making the right choice with the right company.

Any questions just let me know and I can add more details about how the car feels, their CS, or anything else.

Thats reassuring for sure!

Just curious, what did they change/code to make more pops and bangs? I want that!

The extra bangs/pops is offered in their tunes, I believe by default, unless you say otherwise (which I did when I first got the tune)

The changes to increase bangs/pops are done in their coding of the ECU.

Everyone knows that they just increase the compression ratio of the Pop&Bang module. Amateurs!

I was curious about the same thing, but could never remember to address the question to BT. Feeling better about this purchase every day.
Now I've gotta take my Windoze laptop to someone and get them to go through it and make sure it's up to snuff. It's been sitting around for a year and probably just got stupid from not being used.

You got the BT software? Awesome! You will absolutely love it.

Now you just need a catless downpipe for ultimate hoonage. When you are in the market for a downpipe, if you can remember, let me know as I will give you the lowdown on milltek and mario downpipes. I've had them both, lets just say I kept the milltek
