Yep that’s the plan this weekend along with some new sub braces I got.

I’m thinking about doing it in shorts since it will be 20 this weekend. 1st time in positive temps in 2 weeks!!

My headunit in my mini is messed up so they are doing a warranty replacement next week. Hopefully then I can Flash! I’m not sure what goes into replacing a headunit so I don’t want to flash this weekend then they flash it back to stock
Vinnie, in your case, it's best to wait until the dealer is done replacing the head unit. They would need to sync that head unit to your car, at the same time, the system will check and update the rest of the computers inside your MINI. So send us your 'detailed ECU info" after you get the car back from the dealer.

Hey Guys, what is the NGK part # for the "step colder" plugs?

I'm planning on doing this to my 18 Countryman s ALL4 so this should be interesting.

Soccer moms look out. ha

Ok, sounds good. Thanks for the heads up. Waiting for this stupid headunit to get repaired is worse than waiting for Christmas!

Just a heads up guys, we'll be going to a MINI Event this Saturday for the MINI in the Heart of Texas (in Waco, Texas). So send in your detailed ecu info to us prior to the 1PM on Friday if you want the tune file back to you for the weekend. Otherwise, we won't be able to get back to you until Monday morning.

Cheers!

Yes!!

Man, having to wait close to 6 days to finally be able to flash this is like waiting for sex with your significant other. You know you are going to get it ...... in a few days.

Damn it, I'll be ready though!

Think I'll take the boat out -- it's such a nice day

BMW part number is 12-12-0-046-646.
According to PelicanParts.com, that is NGK SILZKGR8C8S.

Doing what I can until my headunit gets fixed. Out with the old, in with the new.

Received my package on Thursday night. Replaced the plugs and performed steps to read detailed data on Friday and emailed to BT. Received my structured tune on Saturday evening. Flashed the ECU this afternoon and took it out for a quick ride. Quite happy with the initial drive, need to play more when the weather is better suited for some spirited driving.

I ended up getting your flash around 10 PM so it looked kind of funny when I left the house to go for a drive, so needless to say I wasn’t out long.

There weren’t any issues that were mentioned before. The throttle response you’re on par with the position of the pedal so there was never a lapse on pushing the pedal down and the engine response.

I had a huge smile on my face

I have been driving with the tune now for a few days. I can definitely say that it is more enjoyable to drive. You can feel the acceleration instantly. The torque is wonderful. She pulls hard any time you step on the pedal. Sport mode is quicker than ever. Much happier with the tune replacing my RaceChip Ultimate. I now have a RaceChip Ultimate for sale if anyone is interested.

I completely agree! Mini's should come from the factory this way, its truly a go-kart now.

Just cruising on the highway and a small tap on the pedal and you can tell the car just wants to go. It isn't a lurching feeling by any means but just a feeling of a lot of power that is waiting to go.

Correct! It does feel like the power is just waiting for you to release it and when you do, you are on your way. I still have to try sport mode more. Most of my driving has been in normal mode due to weather and traffic. Thank you Byte Tronik for the great service and for the awesome tune.

Sounding better and better. I guess I need a sticker for my car that says "Not Normal" 'cause I've had mine coded for sport only for several months now. Even before that I only experimented with normal and green (gag) mode briefly when I first got the car.

Green! Come on man!

Sport all the way, after I flashed, I coded Sport to stay on every time.

Stupid Green

How does the car know to not throw an overboost CEL? Is the acceptable range changed during the tune or does it not get past the limit?

Thanks!

Best,
Gene
