Drivetrain B&B exhaust numbers?
B&B exhaust numbers?
has anybody done any dyno-testing of this system for either the MC or the MCS? sound clip on the website sounds great and i've seen it priced around where the Borla hovers (around $700). i have friends who love these sytems for their Porsches and trucks, Corvettes, BMWs, etc. one friend had on his 1996 Porsche C4S and now on his GMC Denali, he wouldn't buy another exhaust but B&B he says
. they even have a new EVO VIII sytem with dyno graph that shows a 50 hp
increase at certain points! anyone have any experience with it?

The MCS exhaust sounds pretty good, but those 90 degree bends cannot be good. The 50HP max gain might not be a lie, BUT it's like speaker manufacturers claiming 200W when their true RMS is only 50W, which is more real world performance. So it may give 50HP peak power, but overall, you'll only see 15-20HP (just guessing) on average. So the exhaust becomes just like any other exhaust, with more realistic numbers. I'd like to see the dyno chart by some independent source also.

hey weaverpsu,
cars like the EVO, STI, and Skyline GT-R have been known to show huge improvements with just the addition of simple bolt-ons like intake, and well-engineered exhausts. if you look around on the internet, it's been talked about for years how much power is hidden in some turbo motors just waiting to be woke up!

From what know, Japan has a power cap of 300hp. So most of the japanese "super cars" have to be de-tuned to follow the rules. When they are imported to the states, they may be "fixed" but not always b/c of emissions
