Drivetrain Aquamist HFS Methanol Injection Systems
The 1 bar thing is your check valve. The jet is what is screwed into the hard pipe. The flow restrictor (if there is one) is installed in the FAV assembly.
I'm not sure if the jets are marked, if not ask the previous owner.
When you get home, remove the jet from the hard pipe and place into a something like a 2 liter bottle. Then put the system in SYS mode for 1 minute. Measure the volume or weight (preferred) of the liquid. This will tell you your absolute maximum flow rate.

I had a container from the hospital that had the measurements on it.

Ok. If that doesn't work I'll test out the other jets. When I tested it initially it was flowing fine. Had it on for a few min to drain the tank. Maybe just not flowing enough to drop temps the way I want it to.
I use a kitchen scale and measure the weight in grams. I don't have a graduated cylinder.
For water the density is 1 g/cc so weight and volume are the same, i.e. 300 grams is 300 cc. Methanol density is .79 g/cc so 300 grams is 379 cc. Just divide the weight by density to get volume.
Did you setup the "window" on the gauge? Also remember it post a picture of the dials inside the controller.
I would suggest NOT to run the meth tune until you've used the system for a while. I know it's hard not too

I also have a problem where when I am on load. The Water level light goes on. And when I am off load the water level light goes away. I can still hear the pump running when I am on load thoe. Kinda weird. Any thoughts?
Yeah, hire someone to install it properly next time. Don't mess with something if you're not entirely sure whether or not you've installed it right. In the end, you may do more damage to the system than you think otherwise...
I believe the water injection light illuminates upon the fail safe being tripped, not the water level. Is your tank full? I would reach out to Howerton engineering. They are the original suppliers of the kit and I am sure they would be willing to help.
Please just stop, you're going to break something, like your friggin car.
It seems that you're in a hurry and thus not following the directions in the manual. It also seems that you are skipping steps. Don't skip steps especially on something that you have never done before.
Read the manual, then read it again.
Did you get the MINI specific instructions or just the Aquamist booklet?
NEVER operate the system in SYS mode with the jet installed.
NOW, dump out the tank and put in PURE water. Drive around with the jet spraying on the windshield. This will definitively tell you if it is spraying correctly or not.
After you have done this, then come tell us what you see. Also, don't expect tech support from Jeff if you did not buy the system from him.
Sorry if I'm harsh, I just don't want to see you destroy your engine.

I'm reading this last page with amazement. Sometimes it's better to contact the manufacture to trouble shoot any problems your encountering rather than ask on a forum. If its not a mini specific system bought directly from Howerton Engineering then just contact Richard at Aquamist. If your running the system with the jet installed with the jumper on SYS which is test mode to check flow your on your way to hydro lock.
If you followed the small aquarmist booklet then you very likely tapped the wrong ecu wires. The system comes with 2 things. Larger 8.5"x11" documentation and the booklet.
If I remember correctly the booklet taps different wires than the larger form documents. I'd say check your connections because clearly you've f'ed something up and you expect us to all solve your problem and answer ALL your simple questions I've seen lurking around here.
Good luck.

No wonder. Well the guy I bought the kit from just emailed me and said sorry because he didn't send me part of the manual and the booklet. He found it in his house still. Now I can get my problems fixed.
Turn off device and disconnect the controller.
2nd hand kits can be a hit or miss and clearly you missed. I'm not sure how after weeks of the GB being posted you could have missed it...
Either way, good luck.
