Do you want me to send a data file from dashcommand iOS?
Are you trying to use a laptop with scanxl to talk directly to the car?

I can log with ScanXL. I just can't get the AFR to log.

Before I buy the full version, I just want to know the quality of the graphs with ScanXL, i.e. are they stair-stepped? The one I did (as posted above) was RPM only and turned out great but does this remain true when scanning 8 PIDs?

Response time does get slower the more pids you add but if I can remember correctly you can set priorities to them. I have had it for almost 5 years as it was recommended when I was remote tuning my R53.

Thanks, but it won't work if I email you one of my logs because ScanXL does not record the data from the PIDs (other than RPM) with the trial version. I think I'm just going to purchase the license, I'll use it no matter what and it's on sale for $79.

Actually, I just ordered it, used coupon code "mp3car" for an additional 15% off.

That is a great deal just to get rid of the nag screen. I still prefer to use my phone to log data.

I have the full version now and I can't get AFR, boost or AAT to work??? It has to be a simple fix because DashCommand works. I'll work on it and report back.

The data rates are awesome though.

ScanXL PID problem solved.

1.) Click on the "settings" tab
2.) Click on "PID Config"
3.) Check the PIDs that you want to monitor

You should be good to go!

All mine are working now

That's awesome! Which PID did you select for the AFR? I remember there being a few.

How did you edit the names on the pics shown on the graph. I can change everything else but the name.

Names on the graph are:

1.) Graph settings
2.) "Text Areas" tab
3.) select Title PID1 (or whatever number you what to change)
4.) type whatever you want in "Format String"

Another quick questions. How did you get it to identify .5? For example boost at 11.5 or AFR at 12.5. Mine are on whole numbers.

To adjust the decimal format:

Under graph settings

Text areas tab
Select the "value PID"
Format String

%.Xf

Where X is:

0 = no decimal places
1 = one decimal
2 = two decimal
etc

I can confirm that this device works flawlessly with DashCommand, received it today and it connected just fine.
