No problem - I'll put it further down the page.

You could do this with ScanXL but I have not looked into the interface. I am just using it to read the log files but it is in fact a full data logging software package that does more than Dash Command.

For the logging I have been doing:

1. Buy the Dash Command app for your Android or iPhone. You can read about it here - http://www.palmerperformance.com/

2. Buy a wifi or blue tooth compatible interface for your OBD2 port. iPhones will be better off with a wifi version like the ELM327. I got mine on Amazon but you can just google "ELM327" and find it everywhere.

3. Set up Dash command for your vehicle with all the parameters you can find. For my Clubman it was these.
Fuel tank - 13.2 gal
Brake specific fuel consumption - 0.50 lb/(hp*h) (this is a Palmer engineering estimate)
Tire size - 205/45R17
Final drive ratios - 12.40; 7.77; 5.40; 4.12; 3.43; 2.96
Curb weight - 2822lb (~135 lbs less for the 2 door?)
Drag Coefficient - 0.34
Frontal area - 2.02m^2
Max engine speed - 6500rpm
Min engine speed - 700rpm
4. Plug in your OBD2 interface and set up the connection with your phone.

5. Start logging data

To read the files, I'm using the free evaluation version of Palmer Performance Engineering's PC software, ScanXL. You can download it from their web site.

Yep. I'll check again when I finally get the meth injection and down pipe installed. Water/meth will be about a 4% hit to peak hp but well worth it in the long run.

Thanks for this post... Im about to order the ELM327. One quick question; Is there a way to run my JB+ CAN Tool with the ELM327 running at the same time. I.e. running a OBD2 Y Cable...

Here is a cable I've found:
Amazon.com: OBDII Splitter Y Cable, J1962M to 2-J1962F, 1ft (145802): Automotive Amazon.com: OBDII Splitter Y Cable, J1962M to 2-J1962F, 1ft (145802): Automotive

I believe others have done it but you will find, if this is a piggy-back tune, that some of your data signals will not be accurate. Piggy-back tuning essentially corrupts the signal being sent to the ECU.

I've been having some trouble collecting all the data I want at one time with Dash Command. I managed to get IAT and AAT with the torque and hp calculations but then lost them when I added fuel rail pressure monitoring.
I can replay the SAE.FRP data on my phone but it seems to get lost when I try to read it with ScanXL. Maybe due to it be the free version?

When adding to the graph in ScanXL are you unchecking the box labelled "Only show parameters supported by this vehicle"?

I was, but picking the wrong SAE parameter.

We are thinking about developing a DI injector for the aftermarket, hence the rail pressure curiosity.

My short drive fluctuated between about 768 and 1803 psi.

Just got Dash Command with the ELM327 Wifi adapter. After 3 minutes playing with it, I have 2 questions:

1) Does the ELM Wifi adapter have an auto shutoff so it doesn't eventually drain my battery when it's not connected to my phone?

2) Am I missing the boost gauge somewhere? I feel like I see everything else but that.

My ELM wifi does not turn off.

On the dashboard screen tap different gauges and the will scroll thru. Tap the "acceleration" gauge and it becomes boost.

On the gauges screen, the boost PID is under airflow. Edit a gauge and change the PID by tapping the PID name then change to calc.boost_pressure

You can also download a boost gauge in the dashboard option screen. touch screen and hold for menu options. tap select dashboard, than you can do a search for boost gauge. My kiwi goes into sleep mode after 5 minutes of no use.

Is there a difference between the GoPoint BT, BAFX and the ELM327? (another than the obvious price difference)

Downloaded the app last night $9.95 . And ordered the wifi module from amazon for $22. This is a great deal for the money.
The VIN Decoder https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...vindecoder.php
Is awesome, my mini has the auto Trans and the drive ratios are different than the ones listed earlier, but almost all the info needed is there.
I installed and played around with the BMS CAN today and I wasn't impressed. Some of the numbers seemed off compared to my Craven gauges. I'm hoping this app is a little more accurate.
But having all the info on my IPhone is really great. Can't wait to try it out and do some comparisons.

Can't completely answer this, but I was on the Palmer website earlier today and IIRC the GoPoint has some limitations in reading some PIDs that the others don't.

Had a kiwi2 returned it; ordered a cheaper unit. The data logs look less detailed, looks like stair steps. Went back to the store and bought another kiwi2. Returning the cheaper unit.

Yes, there is an export function to csv, then open that in excel.

Here's a screen shot:

Ok, I really like the DashCommand setup but I wish the graphs where not so stair-stepped.

So tonight I connected directly with ScanXL, the RPM which is the only PID that will graph with the unlicensed version looks really good. (I think this is the reason the other PIDs aren't working)

If anyone has the licensed version can you give some feedback. Or is there a way to get better graphs with DashCommand?

Here's the graph while connected directly with ScanXL:

I have had the ScanXL software for a while since my R53. Does anyone know how to pull the AFR on the R60 with ScanXL? I know Dash Command can so I am guessing I am doing something wrong??

Do you have a licensed version or just the unregistered version?

Can you scan other PIDs like speed?

I can only get RPM to work, on the console log, for the other PIDs it says something like "not scanning unlicensed PID". So that leads me to believe that I'll have to purchase the licensed version.

Are the R56 and R60 different? I use CALC.AFR_ACTUAL. Have you validated the PIDs and set the fuel type in scanxl?
