Braille 2317 with I think the 8" jhook mount kit. Final price was some where around $210 with shipping.

No not all catless pipes are the same. The Riss Racing one that I am getting rid of is crap. The mount on it snapped off sometime in its life time. Probably why I keep having an exhaust leak.

I always believe that you get what you pay for. That is why I went with the Akrapovic DP w/ cat.

Nice stuff Porthos! No problems with my Riss yet, but nice to know there are other options for catless downpipes should my Riss give up the ghost.

No install yet but, it is a breeze to install a downpipe. Also after talking to Chad at Detroit Tuned this morning I am going to have the camber plates and coil overs professionally installed on Friday.

Why the professional install? I used to install coilovers myself then drive to an alignment shop (close by as possible obviously).

He was stating a bunch of stuff about putting race car parts on a street car. So I just decided it would be a good idea. Plus if they F it up I got a warranty on their work and I got a warranty on the parts through KW.

Sometimes its pretty expensive avoiding $300 to have someone you trust install things. For the nice parts that you have, and the amount of work in your car, I don't blame you. Your car is gonna be great.

Eventually, I still need to get it repainted and corner balanced plus I still want to put seats in it.

Makes sense, totally understandable. I was fortunate to have a terrific alignment shop less than 2 miles from where I lived.

I am also trying to figure out why the car is boost cutting. I have tightened everything. I am only getting 6lbs and an occasional 15lbs.

Damn, Hope you get that all sorted out. I'd really like to see what RMW can squeeze out of your car with the rebuilt turbo and all. They don't really see many R56 as they openly express their love for the R53's and none for the R56 haha.

Sorry I have not updated this thread. I really haven't seen the car until Friday. I took it to my local mechanic the week after I last posted to have them install my KWV2s and Vorshlag camber plates. Also I asked if they good figure out why it is boost cutting and throwing a check engine light. Well as they were road testing it the hood flew up and busted the windshield out. So the shop replaced both the hood and the windshield free of charge. They disconnected my meth kit (which I am now going to have to reattach once it is tuned) to find out if that might have been causing the problem. It was not the problem. I put them in contact with Jan which they got a hold of him once and not a whole lot was really worked out. I repeatedly called Jan with no answer and no return call. So I decide to go elsewhere. I talked to my friend Dez who works with a gentlemen by the name of Huby who has been tuning MINIs for about 10 years now. Huby and I thought it would be in my best interest to flash the car back to stock. Well I had the shop do it and they placed on the most up to date software on my MINI. Well with some coordination I met with Huby last night for a street tune. The bad part was that Dimsport did not have the software update to be able to tune my car. So Huby copied it and sent it off in hopes of having it today or tomorrow. In the mean time I took it out to an Auto Cross event put on by the local BMW chapter and had a blast. I ran a faster lap with my car going into limp mode then with it running normal. If I did not do this I would have probably lit my MINI on fire today because I am completely wore out over this whole boost cut and tune issues. Though I do know now why it does it and that is another whole conversation for another day.
