One of the issues I was having after firing the car back up was that a bunch of codes got thrown. I think most of it was the fact that it had been sitting so it needed to relearn everything. Also it threw a vacuum leak code which I narrowed down to the PCV hose from the valve cover to the intake manifold. The thing was completely busted up. So instead of going stock replacement I cut the rest of the hose off all the way to the connectors and went and bought rubber hose to fit over the connectors, then put some clamps on it, and reinstalled. My problem with that on was fixed but, I still had a cel with no code. After driving it for a little bit I found that the water/meth kit has to be all the time right now until I get a tune to run with and without.
You can change that in the settings of the kit. I have mine so i can turn it on and off. Mainly for long trips at night.

I know I need to have it tune properly and set up right so it can do that.

It is really handy. Im tuned for meth but it obviously doesn't spray under vacuum, turning it off is nice when it is bright.

God help me I am a victim of a bad sense of humor. Where is Walter White when we need him?

Cheers,

Charlie

So the coating that Gpop puts on the turbo is a high temp paint. It isn't permanent but, will last for a little while.

Nope Jan never called me back. I am going to have to tune it next month because I am going to be gone for about 2 weeks.

If you don't mind me asking, Porthos, what method (phone, e-mail) did you use to get ahold of Jan? I haven't had a ton of success getting ahold of him in the past. (I know he had some family stuff come up, so that no doubt had something to do with it.)

I just call him and leave a message. I also call during the day and try not to call him on the weekends.

Yes I am currently in the desert where I am currently driving a humvee instead of my MINI and am probably not going to be able to tune on Monday.

Problem with meth kit. The fail safes are causing a boost cut issue.

Have you adjusted the programming? I had this issue at first as well.

Yes it is still boost cutting. I am going to disconnect the fail safes and see if it does it.

What did you do to get past it?

I see you have the HFS 4. I have the three so it might be a bit different. But I have the Failsafe off. I think thats it, and possibly the boost cut with no CEL switched.
