Sounds good. The tips stick out a little much..

 

IE is redesigning the tips to replace those you see in the pic. IE is focused on the race market where bling is not high on the list. Based on feedback from customers IE is addressing the tip to add some bling.

 

Doesn't need "bling" per say.. it needs to be more 'in'

The system is made partially by a robot partially by man going by the welds. It looks to be a very well made system.

I have heard stories about fitment trouble so I will report back how install went. (I take the word of people who sell or are sponsored by competing product with a grain of salt when I hear it.)

 

Is the center pipe 2.25"?

 

lol forgot to measure. I believe so. (the raised portion of the carpet is 1" for reference)

some advice:
If your current exhaust is old you will need to torch or cut off the current bolts holding the exhaust to the cat. have some 5/16 bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts handy the invidia ships assuming you can get them out intact.

I'll second that emotion! I have a design where the tips are out (a Volt), and I have a big scar to prove it. Seems that I touch them every time I get something out of the boot. Shorts plus red hot exhaust = ouch.

lack of exhaust and killing it off the line is the only way to get that sound.

 

hey does anyone have any opinions on the obx catback racing exhaust? im considering getting one but am concerned about bang for my buck and noise levels, an aggressive tone would be good but nothing too "rice burner" like. thanks

 

That MINI in the video sounds like a 90cc two-stroke dirtbike...yuck! far from a respectable street tuner car....more reasons for people to laugh at us..."yeah youre car is small and sounds like a dirtbike...way to go!" I can hear it now

Hey AB05S, I just had the Invidia installed on my 05 S and it is freakin' sweet. Great sound, enhanced burble, smooth power, and it looks killer. Good luck with yours, hope you're just as happy as me.

 

Its on the wifes' car. whenever we go somewhere together we take hers because it sounds better. (even though mines faster) Ours will eventually be a 2 invidia family.

 

whatever happened to the webmotorsports exhaust? Would you say it sounds as good as the invidia?

 

Did that ever really go into production?? I think there are only a few people that had prototypes put on their car. Pretty cool system though with the bypass motor door for a straight pipe. Either way I'd love to see a sound clip or two with some nice pictures of it.

 

Is this the cross system??? Sounds pretty freakin awesome!
