On the K5Cruiser video, does anyone else hear a high pitched ringing? I can't hear anything much else, honestly...

I hear it too but in the background, sounds like belt noise

Hello, everyone!

I have a R53S and I am thinking of making a change in the exhaust so-called "ONE BALL," but I have doubts that is as follows, is that I will lose speed edge, since I delete a pot that does backpressure.

Thank you,

Nope not an issue the stock exhaust is restrictive enough that a one ball actually helps. With all things equal between my wife's car and mine except my 2% crank pulley vs her 0% and her Invidia and my stock exhaust I can tell you there is quite a bit of power lost to the stock exhaust especially top end. Hers pulls easily to and over 130 mine works to get there with the pulley advantage. Off the line and 30-50 (3rd gear) I'm a touch quicker. (all speed comparisons done on a closed course)

(Anyone know how to embed flickr video?)

Cheers,

Just got my Borla Sport/Race on yesterday. It doesn't sound exactly like the one on youtube, IMO its better. Deeper sounding...probably something hard to camera microphones to pick up. Also, weighed it before putting it on...quite light for a dual at 27.00 lbs

I'll also be weighing my stock exhaust friday as I've seen everywhere from 41lbs to 48lbs for the stock behemoth. I'll find out once and for all :D

Hi Folks,
Just installed an Invidia a week ago on our R53.
It was great until yesterday. Now it is much louder and is definately causing vibration that can be felt in the car at low RPMs. Anythoughts on if this is a droning problem? From reading this thread it sounds like others have had great experiences with the Invidia. Any comments greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
SSpiper

Check the bolt that hold the tips apart first. check the battery box heat shield and make sure it isn't touching. then check anything else that bolts or hangs.

My bad, nothing wrong with the Invidia.
It was touching the heat shield.. That is corrected and it once again sounds great.
Cheers,
Brad

If you have ever heard a loud vehicle and then heard it on a video you can appreciate how freakin loud your car is...OH MY GOD! You can hear the raspiness, the sound of the metal just vibrating to all hell!! Wow that thing is ridiculous seriously!

Yes, agree, there are a bunch of one ball posts in this thread. Just do a search on them. No problems with a one ball modification.

Safety is an issue as well. I've got one of the defunct Volt exhausts, and I burned myself badly on it since it sticks out too far (got the round scar to prove it). My 12 YO daughter almost did the same but she had on pants else it would have burned her as she was getting her book bag out in the drop off line at school.

Exhausts that stick out near the trunk are a hazard!

Why does the best sounding exhaust haveto be the most expensive?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpuZxctanKk

Easily my favorite exhaust. That sounds SICK.
