I've had it on my car for close to a year and never had any issues. It's well built and pretty east to install.

I just got an email blast from ECS tuning about TyrolSport. I was interested in the SSK and on the ECSTuning website they list it as being compatible with ALL MINI's but having read through this post it seems it's only compatible with the R55/6/7 up until 2009. The post mentions that TyrolSport was working on a 2010+ version but does anyone know if this ever came about? or is ECSTuning listing it incorrectly?

Yea its up to 2009, see the red text of the ad and the link.

"For vehicles with production up to 2009"

They are working on a 2010+ last time I heard, will let you know if I hear anything else.

I didn't notice that earlier. I'm not saying you added it later but..
You have to acknowledge that when you look under 'Fits These Cars' why I might have a question when it says Make:MINI Model: ALL Submodel: ALL Engine: ALL

It is slightly ambiguous in my opinion.

Sorry about that, yea, we will adjust it in the future so it will not be confusing, the intercooler fits those. Thanks for pointing it out

On the Fits per ES# its a bug in the system with some parts, we are working on the fix.

still hoping for a 2010+ version of this awesome SSK

I'm also hoping that TyrolSport can figure out how to make this SSK work with 2010+. I just like the whole concept of the tranny mount kit much better than having to lift car, remove exhaust and pop the large ball joint bushing and all that. As soon as the 2010+ is available, I'm gonna order one for my 2013 R56s. However, the statement that they are working on the 2010+ version has been posted on their website since 2012, so I am not overly optimistic. I emailed their customer support to ask.

I just installed mine this afternoon on my MY07S.

Sweet and simple install but the e-clip was a royal pain in the rear.

I haven't test driven it apart from moving from one parking stall into another.

Short throw for sure. Now only if I can get the damn stock **** off so I can install my Billy Club.

That would be my combo if I could only do the Tyrol sport style short shift kit - IMO a better idea than the extended shaft SSK.

The SSK seems like a waste to me as I'm the sole pilot of my car and it makes no sense to be adjusting the length. It should be a set once and forget thing.

Removing the exhaust to install the SSK as well as needing to buy a modified cover seems a bit over the top.

I really really like the quality of this Tyrolsport pieces. Install was a breeze but putting the circlip back was a sticky wicket.

Having done it now, I can do it in 15 minutes.

PS: Also currently on sale.
