If this is a somewhat simple DIY that one can do at home in an hour or two that I can sneek by the wife (if I don't have to disassemble he whole car!), then sign me up on the whole GB concept for sure. The last SSK I did was on my Audi A4. Huge grins

If I had the scratch right now... I'd get one for my MCS and one for my fiancee's All4.

Just got shifter and it is a beautiful piece. Unfortunately I'd does not fit and might not fit 2010 and newer. Shift arm on trans is different mounting style. If yours has a bolt it will work. Mine presses on and a pin slides thru. They are now aware of this. Like I said this shifter is a beautiful piece. They made a great product. Just a heads up. Oh yea. I tried this on a 2012 all4 and a 2012 JCW roadster. Here's to hoping they make new style. I need 2.

We are aware of this issue, we have updated the application list on our site. we are currently working to develop a solution for the newer style "pin" mount. If your shift tower has a bolt down selector than the shift Rx will fit and operate as advertised. Thank you for the kind words regarding the products quality.

+1 on that. Ive dealt with Mike at Tyrolsport before with my GTI. Good guys there and they know what they are doing. Finally theres someone here on the east (NYC) that you can trust to work on your euro car. Looking forward to the 2010+ shifters.

I've been thinking about getting this kit too. It appears to be in stock. I want to say they had a group buy a little while back. The website has a price listed of $219.

One of you guys with 09+ cars, you may want to contact them directly for a time frame for a kit for your cars.

We had offered an intro price for the release a few months back. These are in stock and ready to ship for all 07-09 cars.

We are currently working on the best way to remove the pin from the stock shift tower. Not sure yet whether we will provide a loaner tool to push the pin through, or if there is an easier method that can be done with basic tools within the constraints of the work area. There is a new design to overcome the variation added to the 2010+ cars, however making the job as easy to perform has been the new challenge.

Updates will follow

Hey guys,

I have the tyrolsport short shift installed and last week, and it feels better than the original. the parts from Tyrosport is very well engineered. I would surely recommend this as a must have. Forget about the rest of the short shifter.

Installation is simple from the documentation provided by tyrosport.

Many thanks, Tyrolsport.

I just bought one of these since I have a 2009 R56. After getting it and starting the install it turns out my 2009 has the pin-style too. So it would appear some of the later 2009 cars are lacking the E12 bolt as well. Disappointing since the site, Outmotoring, which I bought it from indicated a pre-2010 car would be okay.
