I plan on getting the 15% Pulley. My car is leased and I know I have to return the car stock? Thanks.

Very Hard. Would not advise you try. It would be better to buy a new supercharger to put back on. Or just buy the lease out at the end, because you know your going to love the car.

I don't see what's preventing someone from making a steel replica of the stock pulley and doing the heat-and-slide back on.

tiger1: Due to the fact that my stock pulley was handed back to me in two pieces, I do not anticipate it being reinstalled. Not sure if all pulley removal tools break them in two but I think they do.

Most times the pulley is pulled off in one piece, but to get it back on you would have to heat it up to about 500 deg. to get it back on. And from what I have heard putting on the pulley that hot will heat the seal on the end shaft up too much and let all your oil in the supercharger leak out over time. In the end the supercharger will fail. So now is the question is can mini find out if you did it and come back to you for damages? And if this does happen do you not feel bad that you made it break for some one else? Supercharges with pulleys are going for around 200 bucks on ebay. I would just buy one if you plan on doing it. And them resell yours on ebay to get the cash back. But that is just my .02.

I got mine back in one piece. Randy Webb did the install. I would strongly suggest you ask him your question. Good luck.

If im not mistaken, Helix as offering a stock sized pulley that would go on there pressed fit hub(heated), if you were to use their , press fit 15% it would be an easy change, but contact them to be sure........

Caddman,

Why don't you have your pulley guy corner the market on black steel 0% pulleys. Make one identical to the item on the right and I'll buy one:

the bore size on the original P&D heat-fit pulleys is precison honed to within .0001" (one ten-thousandth) of the stock pulley bore size. That would indicate you could heat fit the stocker and slip it on the same way as the P&D heat fit. good luck on the paint holding up.
the P&D puller does not mangle the stock pulley and there must be hundreds and hundreds of good stockers out there

My MCS is leased and I put in the !9% pulley, Pilo INtake, Rear Sway Bar and Borla Race Exhaust. Just because it's leased doesn't mean you have to turn it back to the leasing company. When the lease is almost up, you can sell it privately or trade it in when you buy your new car and the dealer will pay off your residual (assuming the car is worth atleast as much as the residual) and then resell the car.

I've modded leased cars many times. I won't worry about it.
