Service Engine light after Detroit Tuned BPV
just installed the detroit tuned bpv. Service Engine Soon light came on...what can it be? i started the car a couple times and did a ecu reset 3 times, still wont go away.
Reading the code is of course the easiest way to narrow it down, but, my first guess is something is unplugged or disconnected. You need to go in and double check every hose and plug near where you are. Make sure there are no air leaks either.

When I first installed it, the car felt so much better driving it compared to stock, yoyo was gone, but the check engine light was on. I wanted to get rid of the check engine light so i went back, took everything apart again and made sure everything was tightened and connected. Sure enough everything was. This time the car barely started and stumbled. It was the intake tube to the bypass that was cracked, so i went to autozone and got a new tube, cut it to the length and the car started and idled fine. But now I have a check engine light still AND it feels like the car has no boost. It makes a lot of noise when i hit the gas but feels like the stock bypass valve again with the yoyo problem. Please let me know what you think this can be asap. Thanks!

Honestly without knowing the code it's hard to narrow down anything. If you bought the valve from Chad give him a call.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. If you need help call my cell...586.484.1158 but reading the code is the first step.

i got code P0122 (Throttle Position Sensor Low Voltage) I called Chad and he said to clean the connector to the throttle body, but that didn't work, any suggestions? It also sounds like a lot of hissing is coming from that area also, I don't know if it's normal and i never noticed it or what. Please help

FOUND THE PROBLEM! a hose is disconnected and you could hear the air sucking in from it! problem is, where does this hose go? its the only grayish hose i see, its the one sticking up in the picture...how can i fix this? thanks!
I'm almost positive that is the vacuum hose that is attached to the MAP sensor by the thermostat. The MAP sensor effectively samples the air coming out of the supercharger via that tube.
It's strange that it somehow pulled out of its bracket, but the other end of that hose does connect to the tube that runs between the supercharger and bypass valve...

it didn't pull out, it actually broke off. more than likely he is going to need a new one. that is the first time that i have ever seen that. i would say it was cracked before hand, but that is just a guess. once that is take care off it should be up and running no problem.

Yeah I broke that same tube when I pulled all of my engine parts for polishing. It is part number 11651504943. Luckily it is not too much to replace and an easy job. #20 at the link:
