I'm sorry, the AccessPORT will not work on your wifes countryman, but it will work once we have the AccessPORT working on the 2011 MCS.

Countyrman has to 2011 ecu so the AP will not work with it yet.

You're right, for some reason I was thinking clubman, even though I said Countryman, man now I feel dumb!

The AccessPORT does not work on a Countryman yet.

If you get it working for the 2011+ does that mean the Cooper will except the AP. I think it would be cool to start seeing some Coopers tuned out there. Just saying.

Nope, we will never get it working for the standard cooper. It won't be worth the time and money making it work for only 10 WHP!

Once again you 11+ people are way too damn impatient. Some of us have waited 3+ years for a decent tuning tool and tuning. You guys need to take a chill out.

We don't have a map for improved gas mileage, sorry! Our tune actually gets close to stock gas mileage or even better if you're off the gas and cruising on the highway.

I'm using TPS.
Not sure how different it feels on a S vs JCW, but for me in a JCW during rush hour, the non-linear one felt like too much too soon when just I needed little bits of throttle at a time.
The TPS was easier to drive when fine control like that is needed.

I have used both and power isn't any different. I am going to be switching back to stage 1 tps tonight so I can better judge the difference.

I prefer the non-tps over the tps. To me I prefer the quick non-linear throttle response. When I was inititally running the tps, I could not really tell the difference between my JCW tune, and the Stage 1 Accessport tune.

When I was running stage 1 I liked the non-tps map for it's more aggressive feel. I'm running stage 3 now and the stage 3 tps map feels plenty aggressive but much smoother than the non-tps stage 3 map. I use sport mode most of the time except for bumper to bumper traffic. It's fun to switch maps once in a while just for a change. I even switch back to stock once in a while to remind myself what a big difference the AP makes.

That is what I have noticed is that TPS is a lot smoother then Non-TPS but, I still don't have a preference.

Received and installed my AP tonight. WOW! That is about the only way I can sum it up. I put off this purchase for a while due to cost and now wish I would have done it sooner. I am so very impressed with the quality of the product and the tune. Now I need to upgrade the suspension and brakes to match. I also can't wait to see what the addition of Alta's FMIC will do. Thanks again to the guys at Alta, keep up the good work.

I disagree. The only reason I wish I would have gotten an S is because there is no real performance aftermarket for the Justas. Everyone caters to the S but there is a niche of Justa owners that would love to do some performance upgrades. It makes me want to try and figure it out myself, too bad I don't know what I am doing in the engine computer .
If you make it people would buy it. I mean, just look at the Pontiac Aztec!

So true! I have both an "S" and a Justa and have wondered why the Justa has so few engine Mod items to boost HP/Torque. Maybe a Jan Tune, if he does them for a Justa since ALTA apparently does not want to do it??!!??

Does gas mileage suffer after a tune?

I think it is dependent on the level of tune you want. Check out the RMW web forums.

Jan can tune the Justa's...but you are going to see very little gain.

People don't make stuff for Justa's, cuz its simple business...they will make $0 on it. The MINI market in general is pretty small as it is...so might as well make it for the model that is most performance oriented.

However, just because there is nothing mass marketed for the justa's...doesn't mean you can't get things made. Find yourself a talented engine builder/machinist and the sky is your limit Just be prepared to spend a ton of money and end up with a car that is barely faster than a stock cooper S.
