I just had the dealer install the torque steer software fix. Will the Alta tune wipe this out?

I am currently running the stage 1 map w/ 92 + octane in my 010 MCS . Will running a cat-less down pipe require an additional updated map to prevent cel's ? Or will the current Alta map due the trick ? Thanks...

Jeff,

That is a good question. What affect, if any, will the torque steer software fix have on the ALTA maps? Hopefully, you load the stock map, go to the dealer to get the torque steer software update, then reflash the ALTA map, and off you go...fast!

Nkatsim,

Great results and thanks for your time and expense to post the dyno. Can you tell us what octane you were running? Do you get any drone with your catless DP & Quicksilver exhaust and is it a loud combo?

Gets real loud when I floor it or drive above 80...otherwise, it's not bad at all. Runnng 93 octane.

nkatsim,

Looking at the HP & torque increases you have now 80 is going to come up a lot quicker.

Adam, or any one else that knows,

I have an Alta intercooler and JCW stage one exhaust. Is there a custom Stage 1 map that take the larger intercoker into account? I sem to remeber a post a few pages back that some one had this setup and you could customized the stage 1 map.

Flew in last night and tried to install the AP this morning and of course the ecu says its not supported. Tried calling and sent emails but no luck all day. I was sent three different sets of maps but they all said for a manual when i looked at them in the AP manager software.

I recently ordered too for my MCSA and was in the same boat. But I got the latest AP update this morning and it recognized my ECU. Plus I have the beta firmware option set. So it's get the latest latest.

Anyway, the map I got from Jeff last week nets me sustained 15 lbs boost with spikes to 16.5 lbs. Was hoping for at least 18 lbs sustained. So i have an email back to Jeff to see if i can get 18 lbss for my mods.

Bottom line, the whole AP tool and custom maps are all very cool. But like usual, always want more.

Nope i reupdated and checked the box for beta. Still unrecognized. In ap manager and you mouse over your map does it say auto or manual?

I had a couple of decent runs last night. My 60 ft times were terrible. Not even close to my 1.7's I got a couple of weeks ago. Anyway. Here are my 2 runs.

run #1

run #2

Hey folks:

With the issues regarding the "malware" label on NAM, we are having a hard time logging in to answer questions etc. If you have a question, Email ME Adam.Taft@ALTAPerformance.com or Jeff at Jeff.PERRIN@ALTAPerformance.com and then post here.

We are ALWAYS happy to help! Thanks again!

If you use Firefox, go to Tools, Options, Security and uncheck the Block reported websites box.

I dont' have issues getting in the forum at all now.

Suggestion for 1/4-mile results screen

It would be nice if Alta could delete the 330' result from the 1/4-mile results summary screen. That way the final speed would be visible without scrolling.

Other performance features that might be fun:
0-100-0
80-0
60-0

Just thinking out loud.

DO NOT DO THIS!

This "solution" is about as smart as slapping electrical tape over your check engine light.
