I must say I'm very impressed with both products.
The SSK is short and presise, yet adjustable for easy driving going to school or work. Very cool mod. A ***** to figure out how to get in because the directions are horrible, but in the end well worth it.
The TAI from NMEng is really col. I can feel it staying more planted and having more power to the ground. Install for both took about 2 hours with a lift and air tools and no idea how to do it. Normal hand tools and jack stands: I'd say about 3-3.5hrs.

Yea now that I know what to do it'd be 30 minutes, but the instructions are terrible. Last thing i want is someone taking my word for it and allotting themselves 45 minutes and not having the time.

How did you handle the limited amount of space for the lower end of the shifter? Did you modify the case up underneath the heat shield?

I just bent the heat shield up and left off the dust cover. I bent it too far though and the exhaust is hitting. Not bad enough to worry about so next time its up in the air I'll fix that

Thats how a lot of people are compensating for it. I just took a hack saw to the plastic cover (which was a Biatch to remove) and it worked good. I keep the ssk on the lowest setting.

i will agree regarding the cravenspeed SSK.

I have it as well (with the plate cover and whalen shift ****).

I love the shifting. Every once in a while I'll put it back all the way to the top but generally put it back all the way to the lowest setting within a day or so... there is just something so appealing about the lowest setting.

note that I also ripped out the cover below the shifter (under the car) to achieve the lowest setting.

Cheers.
