dBilas Camshaft for 1st Gen MCS
Does anyone have expereince upgrading to a dBilas camshaft on 1st Gen MCSs?
I just want to know if it is a trouble-free upgrade, and the gain (allegedly as much as 30HP), is worth the cost (parts & labor).
Would appreciate any insight you can provide.

Hmm....never heard of dBilas products for the Mini? There are more known cam producers for our cars, Schrik, RMW, just to name the most popular. But I can't imagine any cam by its-self making 30 hp.
They are in Germany.. I have heard of "Cat Cam" in Germany, and the "Newmans cams" used in a lot of the UK cars. If you go to the UK sites they will tell you about the Newman, as well to Germany for the cat cam..
Doesnt help... huh??

I believe at one time ProMini imported these cams for Minis and marketed them under their own name. Not sure though.

LOL... yeah, being in the performance side of the house for a while... I have to say, there ARE shops doing that very thing today!! Using the Newman or other grinds as their own!! But thats cool.. as long as the performance gains are there...yes??
