I believe there have been topics about this already and pretty recent. I think what it boils down to is the RMW one is better, plus you don't have to bend the sparkplug tubes with the RMW one. On the other hand, if you get the Ultrik head, then you might as well get their cam also.

From what I understand the Ultrik is more a racing type cam, where the power comes on strong at high rpm, whereas the RMW is more of a mid-range cam, with power coming on much lower. I rode in a car with the Shrick cam (same specs as Ultrik I think) and when it hit about 6k, it felt like a rocket to redline, but very narrow power range.

My Ultrik is driveable throughout the rev band. I've got no #'s before and after though. The spark plug tubes needed clearancing for me. And as a bonus this thread is likely to go the way of the SW5 vs all other fast road cams for Classic Minis.... To me the SW5 cam is proven as are the Ultrik and the RMW camshafts.

I put the rmw cam in my car in september.. according to my butt dyno the car pulls much harder through the mid-range and slowly falls off, just slightly as it approaches redline, overall, from what i have heard and experienced the rmw is the most bang for your buck
