Looking to do an intercooler muffler delete...M7 or Madness?

Hey everyone...I was wondering what your opinions were on the 2 parts? I have decided to choose between the M7 hose or the Mini Madness Pipe. I know the Alta boost tubes are also an option but I would really like to keep my engine bay looking close to stock/OEM as possible. So M7 and Madness are my 2 choices, as for the Forge hose, I figure it is very similar to the M7 one but costs more. I appreciate all your opinions. Thanks!

You only see like two inches of the hoses anyway... ? Order black

I like the stock sort of "I'm hiding something look" a whole lot! I ordered the JCW inlet tube and Alta boost tubes in black so they wouldn't stand out, and everything looks perfectly normal!
I mean, for all of the trouble it is to mess with the little IC muffler, may as well increase the plumbing size while you're at it and not trade one bottleneck for another... hm.

Motor On! my .02

Get the Alta in black, and if you're really **** like me and want the total OEM look............take a roll of black Vinyl tape and wrap it around.

Well, the ALTA logo on my hot side tube was up side down

I've fitted the Forge item in black, the Forge logo is not even visible at a casual glance, any more than that and you would notice the resonator was missing anyway!

Installed the MiniMadness delete tube. You can not even see it. However, it took some doing. Very tight quarters without a lift or ramps and getting the delete pipe torxed back in was an adventure in dexterity. I did this in conjunction with a JCW airbox install and MiniMadness filter so was at it for longer than expected.

Other than the increase in sounds...any noticeable performance gains?

MiniMania has one on sale for $59.

Based on personal experience, I'd stay clear of the silicone hot boost tubes. Put m7's variety on a year ago and after 13K the silicone had lost so much strength that under full boost it was swelling and knocking the tranny out of 2nd gear. Not fun pulling out of a hair-pin! Replaced with NM's hard tube and problem solved. BTW, cold side boost tubes aren't worth the $$. You can accomplish the same thing with a noise-maker delete (~$30 or DIY). If you want to hear the turbo, lower the windows.

As I remember the cold side is a lot tougher than the hot side.

That's funny. When I was taking the stock pipe off to put the M7 one on, I said out loud to myself "Glad I don't have to put THAT screw back in"

I ended up wrapping the entire length of the M7 tube in anti-abrasive sleeving. It was rubbing on the overflow tank. I just figured if I was going to do it, I might as well do the whole thing.

Drive the car onto ramps and do it from the bottom. To get more room, you can remove the lower tube to the IC.

If you are reading this forum for the first time please don't waste $99 bucks on the madness intercooler delete, when you could just put a piece of pipe in there.
