UNichip website has some numbers and a graph up now.

They are claiming 21.2hp and 31.8fp for a stock setup.

The graph shows some other values.

Mine is still missing. It went back to Alta on the 10th of Jan, Jeff re-programed it, and it was lost on its way back to me by FedEx ...... hopefully I will have some good news this week.

I'm still alive.....I'm waiting for the newly redesigned harnesses to arrive, and see if people aren't having any issues......I'm still waiting and weighing all options, but I WILL have an ecu tune in the near future for sure

As I mentioned before I have one of the Original Harnesses on my "Lloyd" 2008 MCS and have had no issues or concerns (as have most others. ) I am still sorry ANY of the original ones had any issues.

I did hear from Jack at UniChip that the new harnesses have left South Africa en route to us here. I will have them either Friday or Monday if customs doesn't give us any flack. Then I will run on one for a few days prior to releasing them. Fingers crossed!

Also, Jeff and I will be re-releasing more stock car dyno graphs with just the ALTA PnP ECU added for your benefit as well. I put one on "Lloyd" at 13 miles and the difference is really noticable!

Let me know (as always) if I can help further!

Hopefully (maybe) Alta will lower their prices a bit since GIAC is coming out with their flash.

Thank you for your post. There will be some differences between a flash and a Pnp like we offer.

The PnP allows for near instant removal and no lasting trace of any changes made. So for a car under warranty the PnP will be the ideal choice. Also, for clients in SCCA racing. Can take it on and off based on what class they choose to participate in. If you make changes to the car over time, ALTA will provide a new map to match at a small fee. Multiple maps can be loaded at one time and with the upcoming release of the Flux Unit for the R56 you can toggle between up to five maps at once, measure 0-60, 1/4 mi times, do basic road tuning etc. The PnP will always be more expensive as it has more functions and includes actual hardware with it.

Hope that helps! Thanks again for the post!

My ECU turned up today. It had been delivered to a wrong address, and the person that has had it since Jan 19th finally got around to dropping it off to me today .
It is back in the car and running strong once again. Just took it for a 25 mile ride, and no problems (no CEL). I did check the pins in my harness before I reinstalled it and they all looked good/clean. All I can do now is drive the wheels off it and see what happens. The car is so much more fun to drive with the PnP working again!

SWEET! I already miss mine! To help a client out I pulled the kit off my car to ship out. The difference is amazing, like night and day with it on and off.

Glad everything worked out!

Chat soon!

On the Alta site the picture of the harness has changed..

is this the new harness? It doesn't look anything like the old one. I'm not even sure how it would hook up. There are only 2 cables instead of 3.

Maybe it's actually a picture of the harness for the r53?

edit: it must be for the r53. Same picture now as for the r53 pnp. Also connectors are the wrong shape.

Have you gotten the new harness yet?
