Hey you said it!
I like to help people, but I must admit you can be a real challenge. Your overall tone has NOT improved in recent weeks and it still seems like there is a perpetual stream of urine going into your pool! I hope you can find a suitable diaper to prevent it from getting worse!
With that said. I will continue to help you moving forward!
EDIT: I am not going to change what I said above. What I will say is that it was NOT intended to be unprofessional or crappy. I was simply trying to address that no matter how hard any of us have legitimately tried to HELP unsalada, the tone never changes! The sky is ALWAYS falling in his area of Texas. I told him off forum that I would love it if he could be happy with the car, the parts, this forum board, its member and ALTA. We will continue to try to help him, but again my apologies it it appeared to be unprofessional!

UPDATE: To those with harness concerns. A Fellow NAM scientist discovered on his harness that there was some protective skin like coating on the harness pins. This prevented ideal contact and resulted in intermittent operation of the ALTA ECU through the harness. Some time taken to carefully scrape the coating then clean with methanol resulted in now flawless operation. Just an FYI! We will also be checking any instock kits for this as well.

The ECU is defniately the biggest bang for the buck you can buy.

I'm with you there. I'm waiting on the *new* Alta cat-back system, and from there boost tubes and, dare I say, ECU?

I have some potentiometer cleaner I'm thinking of using, that should allow me to clean the pins without having to touch them.
Also, if this does fix the problem, do you have any idea where this came from? I'm concerned that it is not manufacturing smegma and that it is oxidation, which would return with time and i would have to do this again.

Hey Adam
I looked a little closer at the coating, now that you pointed it out, yea there is a lot more of it than I thought. I sprayed it with electronics cleaner, it didn't loosen up any, i tried scraping it with a screw driver, it doesn't come off very easily. What can we use to clean this, or should we just return them instead of risking damage to the harness?

Interesting, i was wondering about that. Some of the pins are yellow (gold) and some are silver, is this what you are referring to? If so, do i have your permission to try to clean my harness or will that void my warranty with Alta?
