Where did my burble go?

Lately, I've noticed that I'm not getting the nice exhaust burble that I used to. I even had one of my buddy's comment on it. I installed an intake a couple months ago. Is the extra air reducing the over-rich condition that causes it? I used to be able to rev to 3k rpm and get a couple good pops but now, there's just the slightest hint of one as the revs begin to fall. I have an early '02 so I never had the burble that the '05+ models did but it was definitely more than I'm getting right now. Anyone have any ideas?

Everything is stock drivetrain-wise except for the intake. 53k miles, stock cat.

I've noticed a reduced burble too sometimes. Seems intermitten though.

Since I pulled the resonator out of my JCW exhaust, mine just keeps getting better. A bit tinny when cold, but just luscious once the exhaust has warmed up.

Install a Catless header and a magnaflow...my MINI is a burping machine! Snap, crackle, and a whole lot of pops!
