when I sat in Sid's car it felt like an aircraft cockpit, gadgets and switches everywhere. i think there are anti- tank cannons located somewhere in there
Jeeeesssas!!! Good thing you didn't play around with the switches because who knows which Mini was parked in front...
Everytime I see a thread with your name on it I know better to look and then stupidly I do... Of course now I must go to the garage and start tearing it apart again.... to top it off Jan is lurking which makes me hunger for more engine goodies....
Damn you! I am trying to resist calling Jan... ARGGGHHHHH

Yeah, I know the feeling
I look at Sid's car and think mine is spartan and I am talking about the race car
Time to go add some more components into the race car....

I think I will put the carbon hood on tomorrow!
(must catch Sid)
Good luck Jan!, in catching Sid that is....
Just keep me posted on that SC... I am still drooling over the thought. Remember what I said: I'll be happy to send the car your way for testing and you can keep it for a few months if necessary
Hey Sid! Awesome header! D@nm! Loved it when I saw it at the Dragon. Jan...great work. Piece of art! hopefully the beta testing will be successful.. Hint.....

Wow...I didn't think you come here anymore...
BTW, I do believe the header in my hands IS the same one at the Dragon...Gary has it right now installing an extra bung for the AF meter...I asked Jan for that in an email but he doesn't often read past the first sentence...
Hint...send Jan emails with no more than one sentences...
I'm waiting on a Magnaflow resonator to take the place of the cat and that piece also needs a bung for the second O2 sensor...once I have that, I'll have Gary put it all together...
I'm considering installing the header myself and driving out to him sans exhaust...might be kinda loud though don't you think? Maybe not...

Sid,
I read it but it usually entails you begging for parts so I mysteriously forget to answer those questions....
Will that have any benifit besides making it white? Can't see it anyway...
Just that it'll get ugly-dirty and parts of it will burn off after a few months. At least, that's how it always seemed on the high school hot rods.
I think if the stuff is applied according to the directions (which involves multiple coatings and heating up/cooling down in between), it lasts longer and basically acts as a rust preventative. Just kidding about the white - white was popular for headers in the '70s, but there'd be no practical reason to do that on the MINI.
