Eddie is a ski maniac as well. And I think he is looking for stuff with many black diamonds.

Eddie, have you decided on the direction for your brakes yet? You can also consider some brake ducts as well.

Just calling for 40% chance of showers at this point. We may not get totally soaked, but if we do, at least your pit crew won't have to install your Rcomps.

Good, sounds like I may not get all that soaked. Where is s-driver when you need an all weather pit person.

I installed the track pads this afternoon so I am ready to go.

Too wet for R-comps, so my grip was way less than what I've become used to. On the plus side, it took me 5 minutes to pack up the car after the last session.

It rained pretty much the whole day. I still had a great time even on my OEM all season run crap tires. Have to say they were really bad. Like veggivet said, our r-comps were just decorations yesterday.

Eddie, have fun on October 14. I think you will have some Mini company with Claymore and Veggivet going as well.

Aaack! Rained out both days!!! Today the track never went green as the fog rolled in overnight which prevented the corner stations from seeing each other. Only 5 cars total ventured out Monday.....

Today I left at 1 pm - home by 5pm. Lot's of bench racing tho!!

Will be all set for opening day next year since the Nitto's did not get used, nor the Hawk pads.

Did you venture out on Monday?

I think you may have missed my comments about your pit capabilities in one of my earlier posts.

I will be packing my car to head to Savannah...I already have the roof racks on and a new Thule box for my skis. Time to change seasons.

Those of you going to LRP - have fun I am working a few "special" things for next season I have June 6 & 7th already booked for WGI next year ; May for LRP; then there is the Bogie, VIR, new tires, brakes ...see you all then

No, did not go out Monday because I had thought that it was to be slightly better Tuesday but that was not the case. I would have gone out just to show my roommate the track but the fog prevented even that.

Yikes. Two days at the track w/o one minute on the track. That is not good. Not a great season for so many of us.

Were you able to get a refund?

Did the brake work this weekend. Thanks for the heads-up on the high-performance brake lube. I believe my brakes are now completely fireproof (if not foolproof).

No and nobody would even ask for that. It's not the clubs fault the weather was bad and you don't think WGI would refund anything do you?

Group52 is not a for-profit organization. They simply cover the expenses with the entry fee and provide an environment for select drivers to come and have fun. There really isn't any other clubs out there that provide what they do...Kojote is the only other one with the same basic format. Not much in the way of rules, comon sense dictates or your out, and more than plenty of track time with hardly any traffic.

At least the brake grease is good to 2800 degrees F.

Have fun Oct 14 at LRP. Please tell claymore to upgrade his pads when you see him there. He seems unconvinced that more pad is needed that street pass.

He is the one with the red r53.

If claymore doesn't believe you, just show him my pictures of my brake pads in this thread

Happened to catch this...I lucked out for once @ WGI with Trackmasters this past Thursday--blazing sunshine all day and upper 60s.

Going to try Mosport again this week--I've made 7 trips up there this year and had 1 totally dry day.

Gary,

Saw in the Tracktimephotos website that the first day at TM's was raining - glad the second day was good!

It's not a matter of convincing, it's a matter of time; I can't put them on and break them in before I leave for LRP.

OK, I'm ordering some pre-bedded XP10s from Dustin. Hopefully I'll have them in-hand tomorrow afternoon, but I'll have to put them on in the paddock at LRP. Might need some help.

XP10s, good choice

They work fantastically with just the plain stock rotors. Don't know about slotted rotors. Just don't use them with cross-drilled rotors . At least not the JCW cross drilled rotors with the tiny holes. From personal experience, the holes plug up and the brake dust creates "lumpies".

Just wanted you to have a little safety margin on the track.
I am glad you got better pads.

Dustin from Autoxcooper.com. He is the best at customer service.
