So are you going to be able to make it to Monticello for SCDA Oct 4?

Looks like you have a great time.

PS: Heard about GKP's brake fire. Those calipers looked toast.

Yes...great weather and nice facility but the flies over at Lightning were seriously annoying! Not so bad at T-Bolt.

Let's do it again next year..

Looks like it is Monticello Oct 4 would be my next track day. Looking forward to it after missing NJMP due to %^#!*& work commitments.

It just feels like such a long time since I have been on the track.

Other than Veggivet, are there any other Minis going. I think I managed to convince Porsche Bob to go as well. Not sure if he will be bringing is new track toy, a fully track tuned carrera white 997 GT3 with a carbon fiber GT3 RS spoiler. I want a ride... and feel 160 mph on the long straight.

My neighbor (with the EVO) is going but will probably drive his S2000 CR.

Porsche Bob's GT3 (look-a-like) sure blows a lot of blue smoke on start up!!

I will be at WGI on the 4th/5th with G52. Got more Nitto's and pads are on the way!

That is not his new track toy GT3. That is his 997 C2S that is modified to look like the GT3. He just bought a new one. Both are carrera white.

Some of those flat 6 engines are just smokey. But his 997 C2S seemed to be at the top end of smoke.

What group does your neighbor drive in? Perhaps Vegg an I can have another participant in our lead follows.

Please ask you neighbor if he would like to hang around with us, the white and blue Mini.

We always park in the old clubhouse lot because it is paved.

Looks like I will not see you anymore this year. We should plan on a few events together next year.

PS: I owe you a few bucks for that hotel in NJ. Just tell me how much it is.

Is this a private thread or can a newbie join in? I went, moved up to intermediate, went sole and "Fried" my brakes (see https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ormance-3.html, post #63). I guess I am not far behind you guys. Zeke and I did a little lead follow. Looks neat in my in-car video until Zeke ran away from me. Maybe next year a "Mini train" is in order. Looking forward to meeting/driving with some of the other Mini Trackers next season.

Welcome Eddie. We are going to plan for some time in Watkins Glen and Lime Rock for next year. We hope you can make it as well.

Lucky you did not have the caliper/pad fire that GKP had at NJMP. His entire side looks charred.

Yes, definately NJMP

I like to try one new track a year if I could. This year it was VIR. Perhaps we could also get a Mini convoy up to Calabogie or Mt Tremblant and meet up with mlg2ca.

Don't jinx them! They've got a large enough black cloud over them as it is!
Regarding LRP, you don't need to wait 'til next year. Three dates in October still have openings. The 14th and 30th with SCDA, and the 23rd with BMWCCA. Just get a BBK installed between now and then and you'll be all set!

Ah, they are beyond have any more problems

While I must say that as much as I have enjoyed this season of learning and doing something that I never thought I would do, I will be in Savannah building up points with the one person who has a say over all of this. Then starts ski season and my other "crazy" sport. So until next season - I will be MODDING MY CAR

Something tells me you are just as fast on your skis as you are on the track. If you ever ski over in my neck of the woods, let me know and we can meet up.
