SCDA HPDE Schedule
I would try it if you have not been there.
But I will not be a repeat there for the regular track, but I am thinking of going for the winter snow driving events.
typically three 25 min sessions per day which is a bit less than you'll get with other groups. but you also get front row seats to watch real w2w racing which you won't get with any other organization. it's all mixed together on the sat/sun schedule.
I read through the NASA rule book for HPDEs and note that they do not allow any 4 point harness, even DOT approved ones. I wonder if other event organizers are going the same route?
Claymore - isn't NHMS just a NASCAR Oval? Ooops - didn't see Slinger's response...

frequently stated, rarely enforced. and if your car still has the oem belts it doesn't matter.
S-driver, Eddie and claymore, I will not be able to start this coming track season till May. But hope to do WGI and NJMP and perhaps some LRP with SCDA. I am interested in a summit point day with either Chin or trackdaze. And also interested in calabogie with BMWCCA patroon chapter in July.
I will also follow the guy at work who has 400 track days. He does lots of PCA, BMWCCA and ferrari clubs among others.

I will probably shorten my list. But would like to LRP and Calabogie as 2 new tracks. The double day at NJMP for the 2 tracks looks like fun. WGI is a must (got to find those downhill sections
) and I'll see about VIR. I don't know if that shortened my list at all but it seems shorter

I like WGI as well. great track but the mini needs a lot more HP to keep up with those gt3 and corvettes.
I typically like SCDA for WGI or NJMP because they offer lots of track time on those tracks. WGI is 2.5 hours and NJMP is 2 hours.
Unfortunately LRP for SCDA is 1.5 hours. A little too short for me.

Will do. I have run summit point before. Maybe six years ago but I have not been back since. I am thinking about running with trackdaze. Not sure if you will be interested in running then.

I am thinking of going to LRP early in the season to make sure the car is sorted out before I do any big tracks. Especially the brakes. A short session may be good for that.
I got the gt3/corvette thing figured out:

or better yet:

But I may need to get larger tires or something
Also, I know that you are not too thrilled with Alta, but their AccessPort tune is getting rave reviews, straight out of the box.
As for real power, I didn't look at the intake temp when I was at WGI, but I guess I was really heat soaking the engine. It felt like it did at Monticello when I saw >145 deg. The power just disappeared. I am hoping the new FMIC works for that.
BTY EVERYONE - Helix has just announced their FMIC group buy for this year. If you know someone who needs one, this is the time to get it:

BMW Patroon Track days:
Lime Rock - 4/23
Watkins Glen - 6/11 & 12
Calabogie - 7/15, 16 & 17 (I know of 7 or 8 Minis that will be there just from our group)
Lime Rock - 8/19 & 20 (moved up from Oct)

How much track time per day for the calabogie event?
Now I'm thinking about mods, but the only ones I need/want are the most expensive - an LSD, new clutch and a BBK.
I wonder what kindneys are going for these days? Thank FSM I don't have a Porsche, or I'd have to start selling appendages and offspring.

i saw a car at vir, i think this past summer at a nasa race, that had a big fsm graphic on the side. unfortunately i didn't have a chance to talk to the driver.

BBKs good idea
I would do BBK, Camber plates, LSD then clutch in that order unless you have to replace something that is not working.
Signed up already for the PDA/NASA Limerock event on April 2nd...Saturday.
Early bird pricing of $260 until the beginning of February. I did it thru the NASA site so I had to join NASA for $45 tho.
Also got two sets of Grand AM spec (Conti's) take-offs Friday so now I have 4 sets of tires for this year already..
