I like the idea of:
6/13 WGI with patroons
Calabogie in July
Maybe 6/1 LRP with SCDA

I think April is too early...I will still be skiing plus I don't have any high performance snow tires for WGI ...then I need to my mods

I can't think beyond that --- I have a couple of weddings; one in August and one in September...can't miss the Sept one, its my youngest daughter.

Ya, you are right - NASA, Chin and SCDA all have a bunch of days in May at WGI. If I just looked at my own calender
You got a web page address for Trackmasters?

Just an alternative, she can get married at the track, watching dad running around in his Mini.

I do not know why but it seems much harder to choose track dates this year than the last few years. So far, after looking through so many clubs, I have only 10 track days.

I am thinking of doing two 3 days with bmwcca Genesee chapter at wgi over the weekend (F, S, S). The Fridays are opentrack. S-driver came up with Cart at LRP which may have a time trial. I did some time trials a couple of years ago with COMSCC and it was alright. I am also thinking about Boogie in July with Patroon BMWCCA. Most of these events are over a weekend, except for LRP.

What have you guys decided? GKP, VV, S-driver, Suss, RedSkunk, Eddie, Orangecrush, Mlg2ca ...

BTW, I had lunch with Porsche Bob last week and he is also having some uncertainty in his track dates. But he said he will try to get some common days with the Mini contingent. Remember he does 165 mph at WGI back straight so we will be watching him pass us.

And I thought that 115 mph was doing good. I think I may need something more than boost tubes and a FMIC to make the "Grade" there (get it - "Grade" - it's up hill there ) Maybe I'll try a Hemi implant to keep up with him . As for track days:

Something to start in May...LRP on Tues 5/10 w/ SCDA
June 1...LRP w/SCDA
Then June 13...WGI with Patroons
July 15 - 17 Calabogie with Patroons

I don't know from there.

I also updated the calender with Trackmasters for WGI.

Slinger...where are you at with your suspension? Just got my FSDs and will order the Wilwood BBK next month.

funny you should ask about my suspension. It is still on order since December 2010. And like your FMIC, I think I can expect to get it one day soon.

I'm doing the Friday and Saturday - not sure if I'll stay for Sunday.

Garylimey is coming as well and will do all three days with his new Turbo build.. And no snow since I've been going.
I am strongly looking at Saturday 4/30 at WGI with Trackmasters. The school is for novices and I qualify The rest of the time is OT; 30+ track days...at the rate I'm going that's only 6 more years Wooo Hooo

Eddie,

my ASTs are shipping out tomorrow. Just received a VM from them. Wallet is feeling a lot lighter already! BTW, when is wrenching Saturday at Eddie's garage?

Can you tell me what your front driver and passenger wheel well height is for a stocker? at the highest point between the bottom of your tire (on a level floor) to the bottom of the fender well opening over the top of the tire. Just want to know what that measurement is to tune the ASTs. Mine has been changed more times than I can remember. Mine is currently at 23.5" lowered.

Thanks.

Do they do OT signoffs on Friday?

Hate to have OT evaluation the first time back to the track after a full winter off.

I will do that. That will be the start to my season with new wheels, BBK and shocks. Really looking forward to it. Say, when would be a good time time to sign up by?

Both sides front are 25.75 and the rear are just under 26; both measured through the hub center to the bottom of the wheel well plastic. You are 2.25" down there.

The mod party is early April. Any earlier and it will be too cold (garage not heated). Email me and we can set up a firm date. Maybe VV will show up and supervise . I am ordering the BBK in March and I want to put that in at the same time I put the shocks in. I don't expect the FMIC until June so that will be another party.

Thanks.

The best you can hope for with VV is some veg sandwiches. Count me in for the mod day.

Eddie, forgot to mention, you know Kyle left Mini for Subaru about three weeks ago. I just spoke to him today and he was stiff a little miffed at his treatment there.

Don't think they will do any OT signoff's that weekend. If your new to them they won't know you at all so I'd call them to make sure. I did mine at an Intr school event..

I would sign up soon because the school slots sometimes fill fast. You can even come on the Friday as a guest and hang out and possibly catch a ride or two with an OT'r...

slinger = novice

However, it would be fun going out on the track with you. Maybe get you on video pulling away from me like Zeke did at Monticello

Eddie,

it is all about fun with friends. And a nasty work schedule which limits my track time.

Wow, that would be cool if you guy's come on out to run. Slinger is right - it's always more fun when your out there with friends. Slinger - you'll definitely get signed off for solo (I'm sure the instructor would at the novice school if he was allowed) if you come back for an Intr school and then it's just a short duration to join in OT. Then you get plenty of track time....and about 5 dates to choose thruout the year.

I'll be getting a garage bay so you guy's are more than welcome to share the space if possible - assuming you don't get a bay yourself. Definitely ask and fyi, I have never been charged the daily rate for a bay in 4 years! Don't know why as I check the box each year...

I may only do the Friday and Saturday tho, not sure yet. Garylimey is going to bring an extra set of tires for me in his trailer in case I go thru a set. Even still - I may hang around on Sunday anyway to watch.

Doing a lapping day @ Mid-Ohio w/ NORPCA on 4/29 ($150! Can't pass that up) but will be @ WGI on 5/9 w/ Chin.
