I have no more thread on two of my nt01. And two with very little thread left. Do you think I can make 5 hours of track time at the glen with these tires?

 

I believe those tires can be shaved down to make them slicks if desired so I would say yes to your question....

 

I am thinking of chancing it and at the most I can run a couple of sessions on my z1SS.

I realize that tires do not corner that well on cords.

 

Any takers on the brake pads? Should I bring them with me to WGI?

Almost ready - taking some camber out of the front (consensus among the M Coupe community indicates -2.0 or better), flushing the brake fluid and replacing the pads all around. I'll be staying at the Seneca Lodge.

I actually found when cleaning up the rims that the other front was beginning to cord..

 

FYI.....I just found out that the Seneca has pool up at the top side.

Claymore, I am getting ready for July 11 and 12.

S-driver, Checked my tires again and they look OK, not as worn as I had thought when I looked at them at LRP. I am definately going to try to get 5 hours off the bald tires I have on now if I can.

 

Wasn't able to get to -2 on the front camber without camber plates - that's next. Everything else is done, just did an oil change with Redline 10W-60.

I don't need to leave here until noon tomorrow, but I know I'll be anxious to get on the road. See you there!

 

If you guys come early enough tomorrow you can watch the SCDA boys (Elivan and Ian) race. Ian did not have such a,good day today but Elivan finished 5th....

Yup, first time looking at it today. Too much of a "sell" up front and I am not sure of his lines either, missing apexes and early turn in on the left hander. But his truck does have some pretty fantastic straight line speed.
