I have new pads coming. Went through about half the pad at WGI the last time out. They are down to about a 1/4 thickness ... my video said 2:32 lap time when I solo'ed .

 

Adv run group sold out for July 1st.....I emailed to be put on the wait list.

Also emailed Ian directly..

I guess I can always do Intr2 just to get in but I'll wait and see..

 

Well, I can sign up if I want to but there are 27 cars entered for adv group!! Not sounding like there will be any clean laps....

 

Yikes! With your traditional first out position, you'll be coming down the straight as the last of us come out on track. What's the max they will take before calling it a sell out? I've never been able to determine exactly how many cars have registered ahead of time; how'd you do it?

 

I am still not sure if I can make it. Will know more tomorrow. Looks like inter 1 or 2 for me.

 

I emailed Ian directly as well and he responded with the car count. I wouldn't be against running Intr2 if it meant a less crowded track...

According to the website Adv is sold out already - Adv only. I thought the max car count was 30....

 

I think Ian runs 26 cars per group at LRP if my memory still works.

If i run inter 1, I can run wih Eddie. It would be fun since he was faster than me a WGI.

Sometimes they won't let us run in those groups since we may be disruptive. Maybe inter 2 may be possible. Then I would not run r-comps. No use hurrying around into a train.

 

I am confirmed for the July 1st LRP event.....Adv grp.

The pat-on-the-back is really nice, but don't believe it. Slinger was running away from everyone and I was the tail dragger well that isn't truthful either

I found an old mannequin arm that I tape to the roof with the appropriate finger pointing so I don't have to stick my arm out the window

I'd like to rent that mannequin arm for the day. The only chance I would have keeping up with Slinger is if he didn't run his R-comps.

Running Adv group...

Sounds like Ian jumbled the run groups to fit him in.

 

I am also in for LRP but got a great promotion into the Novice group.

I think there are maybe 30 cars in the run group.

On a related note, have any of you ever stayed at the Seneca Lodge? I like the history of the place, but the room reviews are kinda sketchy. I stayed at the Falls Motel last year and that was nice.

 

I will be at WGI for that event as well. See you there. I think my three friends of VA will be there as well, and perhaps Porsche Bob.

Eddie did send out an inquiring e-mail to our R53 friends about your pads.

 

Eddie and I were learning and practicing Late Dive Byes (versus Point Byes) with Patroon BMWCCA at WGI, so we can put that to practice with the newbies.

 

Slinger in novice? July 1st should be an interesting day, to say the least.

RP01's w/ RE11's. Yes, still have them, but will probably sell those locally if I can; I have no way to get them up to WGI.

I've stayed at both - you are correct in that the Falls is nicer (newer) but I usually stay at The Seneca. Cheaper and more than adequate.....I stayed there just 8 days ago for that car deal event. Can't beat walking back to your room after a few beers.

Cost was $81/night including tax...
