Slinger...and everyone else...Has anyone noticed that there is a Mo-Hud SCCA event at LRP on July 2nd? It is a Saturday and I am seriously thinking of going. Signup starts June 1st

Eddie, Can't do wrenching this weekend. I have my marching orders and it does not include car work.

I may do LRP July 1 with SCDA which is a Friday. I usually have plans for long weekends so I am expecting the same during the 4th as well.

s-driver, how are your repairs coming along?

Car is up on jacks. Rotors out at a shop being treated, bumper being repainted, and I need to order the duct kit from Sneed. I'm in no hurry as I have no events scheduled right now.

 

S-driver, were those the Alta rear end links you mangled at WGI? I know VV has some of those that he wants to sell.

I forgot about the 7/1 with SCDA...maybe that will be a go for me. That's ok on the no-wrench thing. Very understandable.

 

Better to PM or e-mail VV. He is not on NAM (or on the track) all that much lately. Perhaps we have been superceded by a new GF? again?

Eddie, do you know who is going to June 13 patroon chapter WGI? I heard six Minis from MPG.

They did not clear my OT app yet. Probably will take a few days.

 

6 is right and you know all of the people. You, me, the 2 running MPG, the autocross master and the beer mister (is that a word?). However, I did not see your name on the list on MotorsportsReg...did you get something from Patroons about the event being only 2 weeks away; time to get ready?

Got the FMIC in along with the NM hot side boost pipe...Wow what a difference. I am sure that it is not the temp change that is behind this as I am only seeing about 2-3 deg drop at crusing speed. However, the throttle response is much better, much like being in sport mode and boost pressure comes on much faster. I'd bet this has more to do with better flow area than anything else. Looking forward to see what it is like on the track.

 

I have registered for open track last week but have not heard from them yet.

Maybe I will ping someone from mpg to see if try can help locate the status of my app.

Done...no. I just started it Saturday and I don't have the actual ducts yet. Rotors should be back in a couple days. BUT, if my car looks like it will be ready I want to do the July 1st LRP date as well..

 

July 1 looks like a day where we could all go out to play (or at least plan for).

What happened to GKP, Claymore this year?

We will see Redskunk, the MPGs and APS Brewmeister on Monday at WGI June 13.

I will try to get hold of Ian in the next few days to get into the July event. Have to clear it first with the wife, then I can get to play hooky from work .

 

OK, you talked me into it ... LRP July 1st, should we be signing up now? I am also thinking of WGI later in July as I can't go to the Boggie this year...Think we can get OC to join us for that event...It would be great to meet him.

 

PM him to see if he can join us. I think he will have a lot more fun at wgi July 11-12. I have tried a few times to get him up but he has not showed yet.

for the July 11-12 SCDA event, I may have Porsche Bob coming as well, along with my Mazda MX5/Toy MR2 buddies from VA. You should get a ride from PB in his 997 GT3 if you want to really feel some SPEED.

I will register in a few days, need to give the charge card a little rest.

 

I checked SCDA and 7/1 is for experienced drivers only (unmuffled also). I am checking with Ian to see if I qualify.
