Back on topic, it looks like the schedule has changed. Now a full day Friday, and half day Saturday. Don't know if it is AM or PM half day. I emailed DJ to see if I could get signed off without going on Friday. Haven't heard back yet.

This has always been the schedule...full day Friday and an earlier DJ notice said 9 am - 1 pm on Saturday.

Just got a note from SCDA regarding two track days at Monticello for august 20-21, Saturday - sunday. Six 30 minute sessions per day in two groups, touring or advanced. Run groups are 10 cars only but there might be multiple advance and touring groups, but i am not sure. Also there is some personal in car instruction by the SCDA folks.

Anyone interested?

I was interested until I got to the part about how much it will cost. They are targeting people who have deep pockets for possible membership at Monticello.

$1750 for two days and an extra $700 instruction.

It does sound like a membership drive.

Let's see: 2 days at Monticello for $1750 or 2 days at WGI for ~$600 or the Boggie for 3 days for about the same...I think I'll pass and save for WGI or the Boggie (never been there, so got to do it). Monticello is good, but not that good. Besides, they'll kick me out as soon as they see the moth holes in my pockets. Ya, I got deep pocket - I can touch the ground through them

Eddie, you might be lucky to leave Monticello with your shirt and/or pants with those prices.

Have you heard from DJ re: LRP August 19-20? I am still waiting for my confirm. May have to go to mpg again.

Nah, but I am in no rush. He already told me to sign up for Friday, so I expect I will be accepted for at least then.
Just checked MotorsportsReg...slinger, you are listed as confirmed...I am listed as new (still). My cousin just signed up and he is listed as confirmed. The MPG group is listed as one confirmed and one new....

Just opened an Email from SCDA...they are offering a $50 gift certificate of new recommendations and to the recommended person...You thinke they are getting a less than desired turnout this year

I think they have been offering that deal for the last three years. What seems to be new this year is their marque days, i.e. 10% off for BMWs at a certain track. The Mini marque day was New Hampshire so I did not bother.

Looks like we now have a fifth Mini going to LRP August 19. Redskunk just got a confirm on the list. MPG1 and MPG2 are confirmed as well.

VV are you going? Looking for a sixth.
